  1. OK i'm thinking of getting a micron and then when i have a bit more money maybe getting a roland AX-7 as a midi controller.

i just realised how big 61 keys is, i actually just need about 4 octaves.

  2. Can you try them out in RnB? If i got a MIDI controller could i then get a sound thing for it to go into- like an effects pedal- or did i just make that up? Sorry i don't really understand the technicals.

And yea the alesis micorn does seem to be alot better, cheers.

  3. I'm looking for a reasonably cheap synth/keyboard(up to 400). I don't really understand all the technical side of how they work but i just want one that can create the usual sawtooth and square sounds etc aswell as orchestral sounds e.g. strings. It also needs an arpeggiator.

Can anybody give me any advice?

  4. thats a very good offer indeed but i must mention power metal rule #99 from http://www.last.fm/user/db0/journal/2006/03/20/99542/

    and i quote:

"99. Power metal must be pure; do not mix it with other metal styles"

though it is good to be original

oh and #2 of the sequel:

"If you do mix genres, power metal is still the dominant type. (e.g. blackened power metal) This is largely because power metal is infinitely more epic than the others styles, but also because empowered death metal just sounds stupid."

  5. I checked out Acension, good stuff:up: everwicked sound awesome aswell. the only power metal band i was really aware of was Black Atom but yea im definetly more inclined to the cheesy side of power metal or "sword metal" as some people say. i just try to make things as catchy and epic as i can, i've written some awesome songs i just want to get recorded. That everwicked guitarist slot sounds intriquing...

  6. Lead Guitarist/Songwriter(17) looking to start a Power Metal band in the style of Helloween, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Stratovarious, Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden etc

    Melodic, Fast and Heavy.

Drummer, Lead Guitarist, Bassist, Keyboardist and Singer(male or female)

  7. OK im sorry i didn't mean Trivium are old school, i meant they were partly an influence which is on the whole old school, i just worded it wrong. So is anyone actually interested in this band rather than just interested in criticising me?

  8. Looking for a guitarist and a singer for my metal band. Must be relatively decent, aged 15-17, influences- old school metal eg megadeth, metallica, trivium, black atom, motorhead etc and able to travel to milltimber, maryculter area.
