Does anyone know if you need a late music licence ( does such a thing exist we've been told it does ) ie to be able to play music at a hotel for an extra hour after the bar has shut ? I know you have to apply for a late drinks licence if you want to drink for an extra hour but we are not bothered about one of them, we just want to play music for an extra hour. Soulboy

I sold some stuff on ebay the other day and for once i'm glad I've got a crap memory. the buyer paid with paypal. I packaged up the item but forgot to take it to work with me. when i got home there was an email saying don't post the item somebody has hacken into my ebay account and bought loads of stuff and changed the address. there was also a email from paypal saying they had removed the money from my account so I would've ended up with no item and no money. so when another of my items sold I contacted the buyer by email before I sent out item. I also checked the guys name and address in bt online phone directory to make double sure. Don't think I'll accept paypal from uk buyers from now on it's too risky. Guy I know sold 4000 worth of records to someone in Italy. The guy in italy had put stuff on ebay which he didn't have to get 10,000 in his paypal account which he then spent on records. Obviously people started a paypal charge back against him coz they never got anything from him. Coz he had spent all the money in his paypal account paypal then withdrew money from the accounts of the people the guy in italy had bought from. hence guy I know lost his money as paypal said the situation was to complicated and washed there hands of it. So if you are selling stuff and accept paypal beware. Soulboy

Yeah I do as I thought the loons and quines of Aberdeen had more taste, they are pure mince. As soon as anybody gets airplay on daytime radio 1 people follow like sheep. Thats why in a selfish way I hope radio 1 continue to ignore Milburn so that whenever they come to Aberdeen I can get a ticket but they are a million times better than Bloc Party. Didn't realise there was something in Aberdeen already. Haven't been to exodus in ages only went on a Sat though. As for your feedback on the too many genres not a good idea thats what I want to hear peoples opinions. soulboy

Just wondering if there is enough interest in Aberdeen for a 60's night playing ska, beat, freakbeat, mod, soul, r&b, garage etc. by bands like The Action, |The Attack, The Creation, Small faces, The Who, The Kinks, The Poets, Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker, Maytels, Skatalites, Four Tops, Temptations, Miracles etc Plus loads loads more Or is just playing 60's too restrictive and should include 70's mod and ska revival, Indie and britpop. Last Fridays show is being repeated on Thur at 11.55pm presume it'll be bbc4 again so I'm told. There was great footage of not only soul artists but ska legend Prince Buster as well. they even managed to get an interview out of Van Morrison. the last time i heard an interview iwth him all he said was yes no or maybe to all the questions that were asked.
