having a 'feejee' is indeed one of my favourite ones! uuumm... drookit' date=' cloot, glaikit...
oh oh, nearly forgot another couple- skelp and howk!
[/quote']
Hell yeah, 'feejee' is a classic. I like dreich.
-
i beleave that is one ownage point to milner:up:
Ha, Ross, you speak utter shite.
Milner - I don't mind you slagging off our band, if we couldn't take critics then we couldn't do gigs. I just think it was thoroughly, well, a bit 'sad', to take off your top. I got hot drumming, I managed with a top on.
Oh, and I liked your harmonising vocals, forgot to mention that earlier.
-
you were the band after us yeh?
If so' date=' i left after you opened with a muse cover, i love muse but i hate local bands who dont have enough of their own material to play a gig, and thus you lost me after that. I did hear some of your second song, but again for me it wasnt my thing, youve got a not bad voice tho, keeping pluggin away and lose the fucking covers!!!!!
[/quote']
Well to be honest we tried writing new material before but our second guitarist wasn't there, thus making it a bit difficult.
As for yourselves, credit for doing your own stuff, but it all sounded like fake American pop-punk, Blink 182 to me. And you lost me as soon as your drummer took off his top. Could it get more arrogant?
-
Oh well, I thought you sounded awesome, even if they apathetic kid emos were busy feeling each other up.
Ross - ta, it makes sense. So Sazzle plays...?
Did anyone catch our (Seventh Circle) set? If so, what ye think?
-
2 points here;
1) who is Sazzle?
2) Which band are you in Milner?
-
Replayed eh?
-
Well, Fraser's fundraiser is over now and it was a big success and gave him 565 towards his gap year fund. But what did everyone think of the bands? Here's my worthless opinion of the bands I caught.
Kitchen Cynics - awesome. Pity nobody was actually listening. Bastards
Silver Reef - blew my mind. Funky shizzle to da max homes.
Stayover - well, everyone likes different stuff. But
DeBassed - I think they may be having a bit of trouble adjusting whilst the line-up changes. However, having saying that they were still good.
Tears Of Grace - sounding alright there guys.
But what be everyone elses opinions?
-
-
I agree...the rest of tog seems to love them...i think they're shite. Tim henman is cool though.
Trivum are ace. And enough with Tim Henman, he is shite. Andy Murray is where it's at, and you knows it.

You should go in to advertising...
-
I thought it was just Thinkpol at Tunnels, I didn't realse it was an allday extravaganza.
-
T'Monkeys are alright, they are overrated though. Apart from that modification I agree with the Ben boy.

No instrument is essential for a band' date=' it really depends on what you want to do. If you have lead guitar parts/a lead guitar player who adds to the sound without being (too) derivative, then go for it. On the other hand, if its just to add numers to a lineup, and 'fit in' with traditional lineups, it seems pretty pointless.[/quote']
Totally agree.
They're not essential, but do make for quite a metal sound, if played in a certain way. You will be hard pushed to find a metal band without one.

Trivium - Like Light To The Flies
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
Shadows Fall - The Light That Blinds
Bullet For My Valentine - 4 Words
The Little Flames - Put Your Dukes Up, John
Faith No More - From Out Of Nowhere
And just to be a bit more mainstream...
Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum
-
That's shit, I've only heard 'Crystal Lake', but that in itself is a great song.
-
They replaced my destroyed Paiste 402 crash. If anyone caught us on Jan 8th they would have seen the massive crack. They're better, in my opinion.
-
What be yonder opinions on these cymbals?

OK, this could get a bit out of hand, so I think we should leave it there. Milner - you don't like us, that's cool, everyone has different taste and if I ever take my top off at a gig you have permission to hit me for being a hypocrite.![:D](https://www.aberdeen-music.com/%5Cuploads/emoticons/default_styles_default_xenforo_smilies_biggrin.png)
