I would be going but I'll be in tenerife instead

The SNL one is brilliant but I'd go with Yeah (Crass Version) by LCD Soundsystem, in fact a lot of LCD Soundsystem tracks have great use of cowbell but thats my favourite!

You are in the top 0.855% richest people in the world.
There are 5,948,655,955 people poorer than you.
Kinda puts things into perspective!

There's a little car park right behind lemon tree across the road from the police station. Its private I think but the gate is open early on. Anyway, sometimes the gate is closed when you get out but its not locked so you can just lift it and push it open and its fine!

Bright Eyes - Motion Sickness
Common - Electric Circus (there's a really good track on there featuring stereolab - surprising choice of guest on a rap album)
-
Aye, Mogwai's kinda the easy answer! But Like Herod still makes me jump when those guitars kick in! There's another track on the newest dalek album, I forget what its called but it just starts off with a grinder panning across each speaker or something - that'd be a good one!
-
I'd include these as well: Mogwai - Like Herod; Dalek - Eyes To Form Shadows; Aereogramme - -
Can't think of anymore just now!

aye, aecc gigs are always full of folk who've either never been to a gig in their life/just go once every 2 years when something half decent is on at the aecc. It was quite amusing to see (no exaggeration here) about 20 folk with worried looks on their faces trooping to the back within about 5 mins of franz starting
-
I was there and he was excellent, brilliant guitarist, shame more folk didn't see him...
-
Some albums I've really liked recently: the new My Morning Jacket album - Z, this is brilliant esp. if you're into things like grandaddy, flaming lips. Danger Doom - Mouse and The Mask is cool if you like a bit of hiphop. Collaboration between Danger Mouse and MF Doom. I think the We Are Scientists album is really good as well, a bit of dumb indiepop but very catchy. Richard Hawley - Coles Corner is brilliant too...

They go on sale 9am today

The 1990s were atrocious, they may as well not have bothered with a 3rd band supporting - it was just an annoyance having to stand through that.
Editors were amazing, excellent, great frontman as well. The crowd's reaction to them was great as well and I think they were a bit better than Franz to be honest (I also thought that about arcade fire when they supported franz a couple of months ago).
Franz were good but they're not a brilliant live band to be honest. They'd be brilliant in a small venue but there were plenty of bum notes in there last night. Having said that, they were still very entertaining

Says they're not available yet on ticketmaster. you can get them to email you when they're going on sale

Yeah, it was a brilliant gig last nite. The crowd was really quiet at the start when Crooked Fingers first started playing but it got louder and louder throughout the gig. All 3 acts were excellent tho, Jose Gonzalez was amazing on the guitar, great fingerpicking and KC was excellent. The highlight for me was 678, the last song, when they all played it together. Brilliant nite!

Bonnie Prince Billy - Summer in the Southeast
King Creosote - KC Rules OK
Dangerdoom - Mouse and the Mask
Test Icicles - For Screening Purposes Only
DFA - holiday mix 05
-
Cool, last music hall gig was excellent - one of the loudest gigs I've been to at the music hall!
-
Next album is 29 released on Dec 20th. 9 songs, 9 mins each just ryan, his acoustic or piano on each track. Should be good! I actually think Jacksonville City Lights is better than cold roses to be honest, I do think he's better when he's more country like with Heartbreaker and some of the Whiskeytown stuff

The Port wood one the one you get in the light brown tin?
Na, its the one in the dark brown box. The light brown tin is just a posh tin for normal Glenmorangie
-
I like the Port wood finish glenmorangie, oban is a nice one too tho.
Other than that I'm liking this Brahma beer thats just started getting imported here from brazil
