  1. Word on the street is: "i'Prais boys're playin' a gig on i'seckun o'May doon it i'Tunnels like, ken?" So, I'm gathering from that and the Gigs in Aberdeen website, that The Edgar Prais will be playing the Captain gig with Right Hand Left - 2nd of May at the Tunnels. I imagine it'll be somewhere in the region of a five spot on the door.
  2. If anyone would be interested in getting their tickets a little cheaper than advance/on the door, send me a pm and I'll sort something out for you. The Wrens The Favours The Edgar Prais This Friday at Moshulu. Doors are at 7pm.
  3. I heard that they did in fact have management. It was just unfortunate that their most important breaks always came during the festive period, when funnily enough, management was nowhere to be seen... although, rumour has it that children often made claims of seeing a man resembling Alyssa's Wish's managment figure, climbing down chimneys in a red suit. Edgar Prais. (Great songs never die!)
  4. It is a fansite, for a band that split-up almost two years ago. I think it is a completely pointless endeavour, and I can only justify it as an enthusiastic fan's personal hobby, or project. I fail to understand why it needs to be promoted with a teaser campaign: no one cares, and it has only ended up misleading people into believing it is something more than a website. I can imagine it is flattering that someone could still care about some shitty local band, especially considering that a considerable time has passed since the band moved on; but I really wish people would leave it all in the past - it is embarrassing. Why not focus on what the members are doing now, that is if they are doing anything music related. Edgar Prais.
  5. First, if you are trying to suggest that Acrobatic Tenement is a better collection of songs than those presented on Vaya, you are seriously delusional; I am understanding that it is merely an opinion of yours, but when you suggest a haphazard collection - at best - of unimaginative emo-punk songs, sounding like a run-through of a blueprint already estabilished by a handful of Dischord bands, could compare to the melting-pot of ideas which is Vaya - a band which had truly come into their own - then your opinion seems to me, pretty irrelevant. Secondly, Vaya is an EP, which makes it exempt from this discussion, at least as far as I am aware - I thought this was concerning full-length releases? I could also argue that In/Casino/Out was their most cohesive record, whilst Relationship of Command was a little patchy. I have to agree with Dylan: Bringing It All Back Home; Highway 61 Revisited; Blonde on Blonde, are all undeniable records, each one surpassing the last - although my personal favourite is Bringing It All Back Home. In that case, however, could we not consider Sonic Youth: EVOL; Sister; Daydream Nation? I am also an avid Bjrk fan, but Vespertine was never a better record than Homogenic; personal opinion I suppose.
  6. He showed nothing but complete contempt for the audience, with angry rants directed towards both them and the festival - he had stepped-up to take Ryan Adams headline slot after he had cancelled his appearance, which led to some form of abuse/heckling from numerous people within the crowd - towards the MakePovertyHistory campaign which was publicised by the festival, and also made several remarks about John Peel, one of which suggested that he was a coke head. As far as the drunken bum part is concerned, you will find his dependencies lean towards coke these days.
