  1. Didn't really know what to expect when I turned that on... Back To The Future sample then a heavy track. I liked that. I'm not sure I can constructively criticise the content much as it's not really my style of music. There is a good atmosphere about it though and I listened to the end.

Thanks man, its nice to hear it still has appeal outwith fans of the genre.

There's about 3 BTTF samples in there; it was on at the time when we were recording it - the first one you hear seemed poignant enough to be included - then I got carried away in post.

  2. That cover is heartbreaking, Fleetwood Mac have the most genuine emotion in thier music and these guys do that? Infuriatingly horrible cover.

EDIT: 95% sure the bassist was in The Lost Boys.

(emoticon for pulling the collar of my shirt to one side repeatedly to let air in, looking worried and making a nervous noise)

    also

The video is how they recorded it. one take. cameras awai. lens flare.

  3. Seriously never heard it before? Been around for years and it seemed to get popular last year when Periphery released their album. It actually got boring seeing everyone stick djent as a middle name on facebook. How original!

If you want I can send you a massive list of bands like that. A ridiculous amount of them now! got-djent.com | got djent? although I can recommend some of the better ones if you want. Some of the bedroom recordings people are making now almost sound better than a budget studio recording.

Agreed the vocals are good. Soo much better than Greg, and a lot more modest too :p

Thanks fella; massive lists never bode well, it all merges into one embodiment and nothing sounds original. Choice cuts would be appreciated though? :{)

  4. The start of the B52's love shack.

'If you see a faded sign by the side of the road that says 15 miles miles to the looooove Shack!'

    Then WHAT?!?!

The chorus of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' Impression that I get.

    Is it:

Never had to (referring to the situtation proposed in the verse); knock on wood (hoping that i never have to experience said situations).

    Or:

Never had to knock on wood (I've never had to perform the action)

    ?

  5. Yeah, but weighted keys are gonna be a must for the midi keyboard. If you're a piano player, you'll notice the difference bewteen just spring loaded and weighted keys due to the response from playing. However, if you're not, an 88 key midi keyboard may set you back around 50 -80 bucks, depending on what extra fiddely bits you want on the side.

Id check gumtree etc; i managed to get 3 Roland RD250s for free. Granted there was keys missing/ soldering needing done, but we managed to get 2 working pianos out of it.
