maplin are good for toggle switches and jacks, but pots and switches no
I managed to get a 3way switch in the mean time
-
as the title says, urgently wanted - strat 5-way switch and 2 pots
hopefully meet in town or something today if someone has, hoping to get my guitar back together before a jam on Monday.
will phone IImusic when they open, but I'm not expecting them to keep pots and switches in stock.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my 120w valve head for something a bit more usable.
I liked the blackstar 5watt combos, i wouldn't mind this in a head form

people at work who don't have the common courtesy to say hello/morning/fit like? to each you when you arrive at work, when you ask them you are met with a death glare or even better completely ignored
-
I'd recommend david's motorbody or steve's Autobody in woodside for a lower cost local repair, say I recommended you, especially steve he is sound
-
I'll take these, where abouts are you?
-
Just car parts I'm afraid.

Also if any member of this forum require any vehicle parts give me a shout on here, I can offer sound advice and will honour an aberdeen-music discount

you can't balance tyres, but sure get the wheel balance checked
do you still have your Ka?
if you manage to diagnose your vehicle and need parts we have two branches in Ireland: i could set up discount for you for collection
- Unit 8, Adelaide Business Park, Falcon Rd, Belfast BT12 6RD
- 9 Prince Regent Road, Castlereagh, Belfast BT5 6QR
if you can't get to these places, alternatively i could courier you the parts from Aberdeen
if you are deciding to get someone to remove your wheels and check the balance of them, consider the current tread depth. will they required changed in a few month or do they have plenty of beef left? if they are not healthy look at getting new tyres. you would be paying to get your wheels removed, tyres fitted and wheels balanced. So you could cut out paying extra diagnosing time trying to find the cause of the problem, by eliminating the cause of the problem.
unfortunately we aren't a stockist of tyres so I couldn't help you there. however go to local business rather than national fast fit centre.
?remember these places have targets to meet and operate upon an irrational level of repairs due to time constraints
if you go in with a suspension knock or a symptom that requires investigation, they will not spend time identifying the problem, they will replace entire suspension components at one area and charge the customer accordingly.

Loving the Charvel so cal, the pick-ups are mega loud!
thinking about modding it very soon, I will add a master tome circuit and a push pull volume for a coil split in both bridge and neck positions. Hopefully if its possible for the middle position with no added switches have the the split coils both on the the neck and bridge position out of phase.
here she is in action

I am another ernie ball slinky fan
on my stratocasters I currently have:
fatocaster, - 10 - 52, heavy bottom skinny top - tuned standard/ drop d
mexican strat - 11 to 54 tuned to standard
charvel so cal - 9 to 42 - still original strings on, got a set of 10 -46
I used to tune to c standard with a 25.5 scale guitar, i used 10 to 60, which gave the top strings a light easy to play feel for noodling while the thick bottom strings help keep the punchyness of the riffs while being down low, can't abide a wound g-string

Do apprentices get help with rent/council tax from the government?
I've been offered an apprenticeship, but the wages are around half what I was on at baker. So if I can't get stuff paid for me I'll need to either refuse the job and hope something better comes along before rent is due, or take it and move out and probably lose my deposit...
If you live on your own you get a Single Person discount of 25% on your council tax and water rates

I wouldn't be going to that either, I love In flames but they have become a parody of themselves, any idea of support
