  1. presents fall into certain categories for me.

a present that has a purpose and will get used regardless of what it is.

a present that hasn't got much use other than the sentimental attachment.

my dad is hard to buy for, because he is not into sentiment, I will buy him something that he will use. like a item of clothing or a product like aftershave.

mum - I can get any trinket or sentimental piece, either a nice ornament or a plaque with a witty saying etc. she is in her element.

seriously if your mum can't ask for something why bother, if she can't see past the act kindness regarding the present and the though of doing it.

    seems weird.

  2. when a travelling act comes to town, ie the circus, lady boys of bankok

how does someone manage to put up posters for such things in a closed premises, often a old dormant shop will have them all cellotaped up the glass of a locked door. there are always behind the glass. What is the secrets of managing to do this. perplexed me :)

  4. Royal Mail/DVLA question. I sent my provisional licence via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For 9 days ago to claim a test pass (certificate was in the envelope as well). I was told it should arrive at the DVLA the next day ("we aim to deliver the next working day'). Is 9 or 10 days too early to consider it lost? I had been reading that you have to wait 15 days before you can report it as lost, but should I cancel the cheque and resend? Or just wait the full 15 days? I'm aware losing the test pass certificate probably doesn't matter since my pass must be recorded but is this a problem?

Anyone that's had this happen to them let me know...

Also anyone had any experience with Arnold Clark? Heard rumours they don't service properly... And a whole list of other general crap.

if it was signed for would you have a tracking number or something when you sent the item? If so you should be able to ascertain whether it has reached its destination from the extra service you paid for.

Arnold Shark! - what you intending to use them for? buying a car, general repairs and maintenance on your current vehicle? warranty work?

  5. The woman in the deli place I went to at lunchtime. I saw her use a knife to cut open a baguette, slice up a hot breaded chicken fillet (it's a Polish thing), cut up the sandwich, then use the same knife to make my cheese sandwich. Er, fuck off you, use a clean knife please, not one that's covered in chicken grease. I've had lunch there every day this week and wasn't paying much attention, maybe I won't any more.

I'm not being crazy right, that's not right?

depends how much of a fanny you are.
