  1. I am thinking of trying to start a guns n roses tribute band as a wee sideline project. Anyone interested?? This will be for good fun but also want to sound pretty damn good. I have lots of similar gear slash uses so no probs there. Might even sneak a bit of velvet revolver in!! I want to do this properly and don't want to sound like a crap cheesy version.
  2. I wanted to be a rockstar but me mammy wouldnt let me!!!
  3. Not sure as pacificas were really mass produced! an not really that clued up on them. You have to watch a lot of stuff that gets put on Ebay with what it gets described as but its unusual that its got a floyd trem as pacificas mainly came out with bog standard trems so i guess its not one of the cheaper models. Looks in not bad shape and pacificas were pretty good quality for the price range. All depends on what it goes for at the end of the day i suppose but looks ok. Thats maybe not the pick ups that were the originals but dimarzios are pretty good pick-ups, hs-2s an a PAF pro might be a bit of a wrong mix though as i think they would clash and be a bit harsh, but thats just my opinion. Prefer seymour duncan in the bridge meself. Anyone else got any advice on it.
  4. To all guitarists out there Would seriously recommend Robert Keeley Pedals as they are the dogs balls He modifies Boss pedals such as overdrive ones and chorus ones and he builds an sells his own. I purchased a modified Boss sd-1 overdrive and a ds-1 from him an they are miles better than boss standard, So much quality and very responsive. They are quite a bit more expensive than standard boss pedals but i think they are so much worth it. Just ordered a modified tubescreamer from him and sending him my crybaby Wah for a few adjustments If anyones interested heres his website. http://www.robertkeeley.co.uk/ The guy talks for quite a while on what kinda pedal is best for your needs and doesnt try to sell you something that you don't need such as certain abdn muso shops. Course he's got a business to run but he's a genuine guy and not a con merchant. My ds-1 had top be built in the states so took a few weeks to arrive so he sent me his one up for me to use till my one arrived.!!
  5. capital Black sabbath supposedly played there many many years ago and had a support band who kinda stole the show from them! That support band was Van halen when they were unknown over here in the 70's Heard a lot about people being awestruck by ed van halens guitar playing an dave lee roth's stage presence. Wouldna minded being at that gig. I don't suppose ozzy remembers being there at all, He probably doesna remember the past 30 years.
