Someone posted an article on Facebook the other day, stating that the Summer we're having just now (hot and dry) will become the norm in years to come due to Global Warming. I'd be pretty careful when trying it out then, I'm not sure what happens when you run positive and negative ground pedals from the same power supply, but I think it'll kill at least one of them, or tear the space time continuum, both are pretty bad.

I don't know what the timer chip does, but I'm pretty sure just swapping the +ve and -ve connectors will fry any polarised caps in the circuit.

There's a freeware oscilloscope programe. Xoscope I think. Xoscope is the linux one, I think it's the same for windaes. Google freeware oscilloscope should do it.

A humbucker sized p90 would be way easier, and it's half way between a single coil and a humbucker, plus it won't break the bank. If you want to learn, start with the easy stuff.

Neither of the boxes I built from there worked first time though, so I wouldn't sweat it, I used a multimeter to test mine, put power through the circuit and jabbed at different bits till I found a bit that seemed wrong. I'm pretty sure that's not the right way to do it, but it worked.
