  1. yes it is, I have rapped there before with Tha Flava and its horrible, no sound system its all hired and PISH. Its really bad the roof is tooooo low for a stage to be built so will be flat in crowd shit. Only good time to do shit there is Under 18's Hip Hop night on a friday with The D.O.C because it is packed ! Done that twice and it was a laugh lol (and the DJ is shit hot)

If its horrible for a vinyl record and Mic . . . . its gonig to be pish sound for a band.

just my opinion and experience there

  2. its because you have once tried to view it as wap and now your cookies have saved the wap version as your forum skin. you need to get a link to a post and go to the bottom of the page and change your skin, then allllll will be good again. ( I know this cause it happened to me, and I know kj, he sorted the prob lol)

  3. I've never seen a hip hop night at drummonds or drakes or the tunnels.

Has drakes not closed ? and there was a Rap night on at the tunnels like 2-3 weeks ago, GIles Walker, Mayhem and Kuda

Look around town you'll see allot of advertising for hip hop nights jsut the same as bands nights. in teh exact same places they advertise. You'll see allot for Richie Ruftone up on teh 28th and allot for A La Fu at Kef next month

  4. So this is a serious question for y'all. Are there people in the good ole' north east of Scotland who acually listen to rap music??? And like it? Will this gig actually sell?

Thats exactly the attitude I'd expect to see on this site.

Truestyles Under 18's HIP HOP night out sells the Under 18's Metal night in aberdeen so the youth is the future hahaaha sorry.

On a serious note, We have 'gigs' or shows as we call them every other week and always a packed venue.

Quite a few hip hop acts up in aberdeen recently including Tim Westwood, DJ Whoo Kid, Richie Ruftone, DJ Itchy etc etc all with big crowds and Q-Bert, Roots Manuva, Kano coming shortly.

Aberdeen has allot of musical taste and culture its just you moshers/punks/rockers or whatever yous call yourselfs these days that can't see it because if your into rock your not aloud to be into anything else, well thats what yous seem to think.

There is probs as many rappers and Hip Hop djs as there are rock bands in aberdeen your just to blind to see it.

  7. In rap music the thing that makes the underground stand out more than the "comercial" stuff is the lyrical contant. To get a name for the night, think of things that are "hot" in underground music right now i.e Word Play is BIG right now. SO a simple name with a little word play i.e Underground music, "not that bling shit".......= Underground Bling (this is NOT a suggestion ! this name sucks)

    You get my point etc

thats the way I'd to it anyway
