  1. Apologies to anyone who wanted to see Red Mongoose play last Thursday. Anyway the band will be playing an acoustic set along with those crazy indie scamps The Marionettes and an acoustic duet Adz and Dan who normally play at the Tunnels open mic.

Anyway doors round 7.30pm, I'm assuming it will be 3. Maybe see you there.

  2. Heya folks,

This a charity event on Thursday evening. The rest of the line up is yet to be confirmed (I'm not the promoter but I'm sure they'll get some decent bands in time).

Red Mongoose will be playing unplugged due to the fact we no longer have a drummer. On that note if you're interested in drumming for us sometime in the near future send me a PM. Or if you're at the show come speak to one of us afterwards.

Anyway, enough of that. Hope you can make it along and remember the money raised goes to a good cause.

  3. The line-up I've written is just in alphabetical order. I'm not sure what the actual running order is.

It will be Inkster's first gig since January (I think) and also the first in Kef. Inkster are an upbeat punk/indie band and their sound can be linked to early Green Day, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World and Ash amongst others.

I will not comment on the other bands as I do not know them as well but I'm sure you can find stuff about them online.

  4. What? Granite City Alley Cats is an amazing name for a band! Lol. Only joking. I only came up with it at the last minute before we had to submit it to the promoter of our first (and the time our only!) gig.

If anyone does know of any venues on the lookout (heck, a few songs at a school disco/concert may not go unwanted given some members of our band aren't 18) please feel free to respond.

  5. Sounds like a good idea. We could have used someone like yourself (a session musician, or at least I think that's what they call them) a few months back when our drummer was ill in hospital for ages and we had to keep cancelling jam sessions. So yeah, go for it. Might be an interesting side project for you.
