  1. Thanks for the vote of confidence there! Jeez!

well, left to your own devices you'd be playing dutch superstar rock all night, like... em, like... like... that band that did the original of the nirvana song, what was it called, something camp, em... the one where kurt smashed his guitar over the goon's head - and the goon looked i thought like dan connor's biker friend in rosanne, so i felt kind of sorry for the guy even though he had just yanked kurt full out of the crowd by his hair. whats the name of that fucking song. laughing pink or something, dirty bluebell? what the fuck is its name! you are the queen of my heart?

  2. DJ spot available

if anyone reading this would like to do a DJ spot during our club nights, then PM me.

    cheers

    hi folks

we have a DJ sorted for this friday's SQIK night, but we do have room for another if anyone would like to spin, or press i suppose it would be.

So, if you would like to play alt-country, weird experimental folk, rock, stoner-rock, lynchian-pixies beats, etc; or anything radically opposed to that, then feel free to PM me and we will see what can be done.

  3. That's a nice article. Should be a good gig like, the supports are interesting too. Tupelo in particular (if that's Lynchian, as in David Lynch) should be right up my street. And Ziggy's voice is cracking too as are his lyrics.

Any links to work by the visual performance artists?

i dont know of any. Jim may though..? dave falconer has done all the visuals and videos too for the sqik nights this year, which have been fantastic... i reckon...

  4. Band times for friday night at SQIK club

    Anyway ya bastards.

band times for this friday night:-

first up, 10pm: the long awaited Khar Leong vs. Green Pony shootout. Who will be last man left standing?

second up, 11pm: Mickelmass, who will be wallowing in the blood and filth left on stage (probably Green Pony's filth, and Khar Leong's Blood?).

last of all, midnight: with adult fairy tales to get us ready and willing for bed, Kathryn Sawers

official disclaimer: i have no idea if we will be able to stick to these times.

  7. Dirty lorenzo

due to circumstances, Lorenzo Snow Collective will be playing at fopp tommorow with a stripped down snare and floor tom. it sounds dirty and mean. Welfare Mothers dont. so between us we should produce a highly harmonious afternoon. begins at 2pm. So come and listen to the last of the so quiet it kame instore gigs at FOPP.

    cheers

  8. he is unpredictable... more like a sheep than a god in that respect...

Andy, we may be showing some neil young footage during the red well gig at the tunnels on wednesday night, if you want to come along to experience that?

    cheers

    kevin

Well his experimenting kame () to nothing as there was no guitars in sight! but loops of vocals, casio keyboard, toy xylophone, realtime radiostatic, delay, chorus, an unused theramin and weirdness!?!?

all created by a barefoot sheepdog who responded to non of my whistles! def Lazy!

Bought Sunset also but not listened yet - I plan on getting Sunrise at next weeks gig.

    Good show
