  1. Can you please elaborate on that.

Yes, Bush was interviewed by a panel of public people and one child asked him what was going through his mind on September 11. He replied that he'd just seen the first plane fly into the tower and being a pilot himself thought, "There's one bad pilot". Then he was whisked away into the classroom to read "My Pet Goat" with the children.

  2. It does seem to be a bit of a common misconception that the war on Iraq is what started hostility towards America.

  3. Haha' date=' what the hell is New Zealand Story about? You basically just jump around as a kiwi, shoot things with your bow and rescue other birds and then a door magically appears.

The stage music is pretty cool though.[/quote']

Funny as fuck. Doo doo doo, doo doo doo, dee doo doo.....

  4. Ah, it was Mayhem's frontman Dead who committed suicide. His note simply read "Excuse all the blood". The ammunition was supplied by Varg Vikernes (Count Grishnak of Burzum).

His body was discovered by Aarseth who, instead of calling the police, ran to a nearby corner shop and bought a disposable camera which he used to photograph the corpse for a future Mayhem album cover (Dawn of the Black Hearts).

Apocryphal reports also claim that he then took some pieces of Dead's splattered brains and made a stew out of them and/or members of the band took bone fragments from their friend's skull and made necklaces out of them.

Later, Vikernes killed Aarseth in Aarseth's home, stabbing him 23 times, although Vikernes claims that Aarseth fell on broken glass while running from him and that he really stabbed him only 4 or 5 times.

  5. Talking of emulators. Amiga Forever is a fantastic emulator and most Megademos, games and public domain are available for free on the web.

Was playing PP Hammer and Another World the other day. Even classics like the New Zealand Story and Rick Dangerous still look cool.

  6. I think my loathing of them was exacerbated when my "friends" cottoned onto the fact that I really hated the front cover of "It" and started leaving the vhs of it lying around somewhere they knew I'd see it.

    Buggers!

The clown on the front of the Acid Bath cover was painted by JW Gacy. I watched a documentary on him. He was seriously disturbed.

By the way, you gave me an ace idea for a thread. Cheers! (see Most Controversial Album Covers.) Your not just a pretty face.

I think Rachel is a nice name.

  7. My top ten would be

    1] Brujeria - Matando Gueros

2] Iron Maiden - Women in Uniform 12" (featuring Maggie Thatcher being murdered)

3] Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction

    4] Metallica - Load

5] Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops

6] Blind Faith - Blind Faith

7] Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth

    8] Chumbawamba - Anarchy

    9] Paris - Sonic Jihad

    10] Depression - Depression

    What would yours be?

Remember not to post any covers which controvene the terms and conditions of this bulletin board.

  8. Dude... don't dig yourself a hole. Gary Glitter deserves to have his balls chopped off yes' date=' but you can't say that makes the UK more "dangerous".

He at least didn't dress up as a clown and then hide the bodies of his victims under his floorboards a la Gacy.

I've always had a fear of clowns...

Craig and Brian's Fudge Awards costumes did not help.[/color']

Yeah, I hate clowns. I do like Acid Bath though!

    cov3505.jpg

  9. How come Bush managed to watch the first plane hit the towers on 11 September. The tape was never shown until 12 September. Unless he watched it on a secure link from the CIA. If so, someone must have known it was about to happen.

Knowing Bush would have been a target and that he was in a public place, shouldn't his security have taken him to safety?

I really think the administration knew and let 11 September happen. Otherwise, nothing makes sense.

  10. not all american people wanted that' date=' no. but i'm sure some did. i'm sure some are loving it....

as for most dangerous country??? i'm sorry but which country spawned gary glitter? i mean i know we have MJ, but apparently he's innocent.[/quote']

    That's very true.

Which country do you like most? America, Australia or Italy?

  11. at the very least' date=' though, bush is some sort of catalyst......[/quote']

When I see US planes and tanks being used to attack Palestinians, I can understand why people hate America.

America is hated, because it does not listen to the voice of the world, including its own people. I'm sure American people didn't want...

    The invasion of Iraq

    The invasion of Iran

    The invasion of North Korea

The bombing of civilians in Afghanistan

The permanent detainees in Guantanamo Bay

The withdrawal from the Geneva Convention

Military tribunals suspending due process and habeas corpus

    Assassination squads

    The resurrection of COINTELPRO

The repeal of the Bill of Rights

    The Revocation of the Constitution

    National Identity cards

    Big Brother

    An Eye for an Eye

The blood of the innocent, who perished on 11 September, be avenged with the blood of innocent villagers in Afghanistan

The administration to wage war any time, anywhere, anyhow it pleases

    War without end

A permanent war economy and climate of fear.

It is without doubt, the most dangerous country in the world.

  12. meh. i'm just being annoying because i'm pretty bored and can't go out cause i'm broke.. i am american' date=' but i am also italian and australian. i'm not exactly a huge fan of many things US-related, which explains why i live, work, and study here...

still, not all americans are loud and arrogant (i'm not saying i'm not..... i don't know if i am)... but i think we deserve a bit more credit. even though bush is still there...[/quote']

Of course you do. Most of my annoyances with the USA are because of it's corporatism and foreign policy. You are probably very nice.

Nevertheless, Bush is not the reason for the worlds hatred of America. It's America itself.

  13. come on' date=' it's a discussion...

by saying it is 'utter pish' that the UK is guilty of all the things you listed under your 'serious reasons' for disliking the US it was implied that the UK was blameless for everything. yes, you were being asked for your opinion on americans, but you haven't exactly limited yourself to that when you responded to GraemeC. [/quote']

No, it was implied that the UK is not guilty of the aforementioned offences, not that it was blameless. It went to war with Iraq!

Also... if you've only met 20-30 Americans' date=' isn't it a bit harsh to say you despise the majority of a country? What else do you have to go on?[/quote']

Nothing, that's enough for me. How much do I need? I might like you if you agree with me!

  14. let's see' date=' no, Echelon, you're completely right. the uk is so completely and utterly guiltless of all things narrow-minded and horrible.... like the right to detain people based solely on suspicion???[/quote']

I said that, did I? I was being asked for my opinion of Americans, not Britons.

Yes, Britain detains people without trial. It also conquered, raped and piliged its way across the globe, just as the USA is doing now. It is no where near guiltless. It's deportation of its own people from the island of Diego Garcia to make way for a United States Air Force base is another example of Britains will to cooperate with any US demands. Britains cooperation with the pre-facist regime of the USA is indeed very dangerous and always has been. Never more so.

  15. You've never been in Alaska then' date=' or Chicago or Ny mid winter?

    [/quote']

No. I meant the Country as a whole. Jersey is warm too but that doesn't make Britain hotter does it?

so how many have you met approx.

20-30. What difference does that make?

    all media gleaned shite....

No it's not. It is my opinion. But if you can't think of a better way to be dismissive' date=' fair enough!?

And the uk is guilty of all of the above.

No it doesn't. Don't talk such utter pish.

  16. It is a beautiful country. It is much cleaner than the UK and much much warmer.

Unfortunately, most US Americans I have met are loud and obnoxious. I have yet to meet a nice American who doesn't think the USA is the best Country in the world. However, it would be ignorant of me to say this of all US Americans.

Silly things I hate about the USA are:

Its habit of calling Britain "England"

Its misspelling of words. dropping the letter U and substituting Z for the letter S

The way US American tourists call Canterbury Cathedral "Quaint"

Its habit of putting everything into BrandName form, like 9/11

Its kidnap and recolouring of Father Christmas from Green to Red and White to suit the Coca-Cola company advertising

Serious thing I hate about the USA are:

Its Governments propaganda campaign against its own people

Its threatening behaviour against nations across the globe

Its continued development of Nuclear Weapons against the Test Ban Treaty

Its unfettered support for the State of Israel

Its sickening exploitation of the 11 September attacks to promote its ambition towards "Full Spectrum Dominance" and preserve the Pax Americana

    etc.
