  1. ...and i said i liked Tripod/Alice in Chains, the LP? I like Frogs though..

I actually didn't even like Facelift all that much. Every song having virtually the same structure (or at least an acoustic intro), but there are some cool tunes. This new effort has too few musical ideas, especially for 5min+, not to mention the overworked vocals, i mean, could he/they maybe shut up and let some cool lines stick in our heads? Other than batter on and on.. with no hook lines in sight, or if any of them are attempts at such.. FAIL!!!!

So... when you said you "really loved AIC", you meant that you loved Dirt and the rest are mediocre?

I think we can all agree that Dirt is by far their best album but I think the rest are ace too.

  2. and the only one at a sensible length. There is a serious lack of ideas on this album.. yawn.. and i used to LOVE AIC too.. shame.

What? Lack of ideas? What about the last album? Not very creative was it!?

Every album they've done has been different. This album is different too and it's ace.

They've come a long way since Alice In Blunderland (when they sounded like fucking Skid Row)!

  3. Bugger not having nuclear weapons. Not having some crazy leader trying to nuke us because we don't have any. Imagine how much of an easy target we'd be then.

Which "crazy" leader are you referring to? Nuclear weapons do not prevent a country being attacked by another WMD country. Why would having a Trident replacement prevent Britain being attacked by WMD? I fail to see your logic.

  4. why is replacing Trident illegal??

Replacing Trident would breach customary international law, in particular because it would infringe the intrangressible requirement that a distinction must be drawn between combatants and non-combatants.

If the envisaged use of force is itself unlawful, the stated readiness to use it would be a threat prohibited under Article 2, paragraph 4 of the UN Charter and that the replacement of Trident would be likely to constitute a material breach of article VI of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

If the UK develops its nuclear provision, it will be tearing-up the Non Proliferation Treaty, having abandoned any vestige of commitment to it. Where will that leave the prospect of negotiating away existing nuclear weapons? Where will that leave the prospect of persuading countries without nuclear weapons not to acquire them? How can we persuade Iran to respect the NPT when we do not?

The use, the threat of use, the planned replacement of Trident is illegal. The Scottish Parliament should take the opportunity today to send a clear message to Whitehall that Scotland respects the rule of law and expects Downing Street to do so also.

  5. There is no need for the UK to have Nuclear Weapons.

Replacing Trident and building missile defence systems in the UK and Europe is a total waste of money and could start a new Cold War. It is immoral, illegal, expensive and useless.

There are far more useful things our government should be spending 76Billion on!

  6. There are green ladies and white ladies everywhere it would seem.

I remember being in cub scouts and camping in Templars Park. There was a green lady there - never saw one though. Would definitely like to see a ghost though.

The Warlock/Wizard (Alexander) Laird of Skene once got his coachman to ride across the Loch of Skene and asked him not to look back. The coachmans curiousity got the better of him and he looked back to see the Laird sitting beside a hoofed man with striking white eyes. The Laird practised the black arts and studied the occult in Spain. He was followed everywhere by two ravens. Well, as the legend goes anyway.

  7. Remember to keep all dogs away from the Music Hall when Queensryche are on as the pitch of Geoff Tates voice may cause them distress; the queen of the REIIIIIIIIIIIICH ( cue glasses breaking etc), try looking up photos from their pseudo glam Rage for Order period. (best album too).

    Best Album?????

Operation:Mindcrime without any doubt!!!! Rage for Order doesn't even compare.

  8. It always strikes me as amazing that people think they should have actually known about this in advance. Unless the MI5 have a constant tap on everyone's brain' date=' how can they know such info, [b']unless they are fucking in on it.

Well, it is well documented that the British Government were involved in False Flag IRA bombings in England in the 1970's and early 80's, so maybe!
