  1. Of course it has critics, i agree there is plenty of shit music in aberdeen. But you are slating the whole 'scene'. That is just narrowminded and shows that your not even willing to give it a chance.

  2. Yes i am 12. Problem?

No i am not 12, what sort of immature response was that?

So for what reason do you think aberdeen music has no originality? Are you just scared to leave your house to actually listen to some music? Or is change a daunting prospect for you and you cant handle the reality of that not all bands sound the same? And if your so pissed off about everyone sounding the same, go start your own band and revolutionise the aberdeen music scene, somehow dont think you will.

  3. Erm' date=' if I go into an art gallery, there are different styles of painting or sculpture etc, all of which I take in because I like visual art in general. Say I'm not to keen on a specific style, I'm still able to tell wether something in that style is a good example or a bad example. The same goes for music.

Where is the art in imitating your favourite band? It's all been done before and done better. I've used the analogy before but everything I've heard come out of Aberdeen is more like tacky prints in a poster shop, than a proper original piece of art.

If you don't like what I have to say, you don't have to listen.[/quote']

Thats a pile of fucking bolloks. If you go to any city you are obviously gonna have bands that sound like other bands, thats just the way it is.

But to shit on aberdeen saying there is nothing orignal? Have you been to listen to anything? I dont think you have, the talent and originality of most aberdeen based bands is fucking awesome and there is always new material and groups getting together to make things even better. Go to drakes and watch Vomitus, Politik or something and then you tell me there is nothing original coming out here, go on i fucking dare you.

  4. May be a fairly well known cover but Johnny Cash's version of hurt by NiN is still fucking awesome, Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club did a pretty good cover version of Hardest button by the white stripes, but was only done live at gigs.

  5. This is in no preferencial order

    1: Politik

    2: Masamune

    3: Sidca

    4: Vomitus

    5: Karloff

    6: Hookers Green;No1

    7: Contra

    8: Bonesaw

    9: Hot Mangu

10: Project Ven-Hell (i say this cause im in them and todays practise was the best ever of all practises of all time of the music business!, so i think we are fucking ace! maybe even the best band ever invented!!!, ok the last bit is a lie, ok the whole lot is a lie, apart from me being in it and were going to be amazing, i'll shut up now)

There is alot of others but i have brain freeze

  6. Even being totally objective' date=' we don't sound much like the Misfits at all. Definately inspired by and in the same vein as them, but that's about it! The Misfits are a punk rock band, straight up, whereas we pull a wider range of genres and styles into our tunes. A bit of punk, metal, psychobilly, etc. As good as Vomitus are, I can't see why a Norwegian black metal band of confessed church-burners would be a good fit![/quote']

Yeah, wasnt having a dig at Karloff at all, think they are fucking amazing, and also wasnt trying to undermine them for thinking that Vomitus would be a better backing for the Misfits gig. Best thing for everyone would be vomitus and karloff there together. Fuck it, why not chuck in some Sluts of Trust for good measure!!??
