Brilliant gig. Rowdy as hell. My arms still hurt from the battering they took. And I was in the 2nd row! I got there about 8:10 and Glass Wolves had already played :O
I am sure one of the Allstationsdown guitarists recognised me.... so hello Nathan
That's not possible. They didn't start until 8:15

Cheers man. Glad you enjoyed it. Iname were very good and enjoyed them a lot more than last time I seen them. I couldn't watch them for long since I was on the door but enjoyed them none the less.
I look forward to your review of the show!

Cheers to everyone who came down last night! It was a belter of a gig.
Roughly about a hundred through the door including guestlist etc. and Sucioperro were well pleased with that since they haven't been up here in aaaaages and it was before the album was released, which is next week incidentally.
Apologies to those above who never got a reply to their questions. Sucioperro went on about 1015 and played an hours set and then an extra song at the end. JP said he could've played all night lol.
Thanks again everyone!

I dont want to see The Lemon Tree fail either but you wonder if they didnt have 3 people greeting you at the door (1 in the ticket box office,2 opening the door) and say 5 or 6 bar staff on then they wouldnt have to charge as much. Ive only been there 3 times since it reopened but it has beem like that on all those occassions. No need for more than say 2 bar staff and 1 box office person.
THIS! Totally agre

The sooner the Dundee scene dies the better so bands like The View, The Law and Sergeant can all bugger off!
Supporting your mates band (The Law supporting The View) doesn't mean you can command fees of 100 plus.
I was quoted 700 for Flood Of Red by one of their band members. Maybe Calum can confirm how much they cost him?
-
No wonder the Lemon Tree do so poorly! 50 @ 5, in turn spending approximately 10 at the bar makes better maths than 20 @ 8 spending the same 10 at the bar.
Crazy!
Nobody wants to see it go under again but at these rates - instead of a much better value for money rate like 5 for the Exposure nights, or the entrance fee to Drever, McKusker and Woomble - it seems like it will

8 for two bands?! Ouch!

Never noticed my post went after yours. Vesuvian are a good band...The Law on the other hand...
-
They're gash so I doubt it.
I seen a poster in Oddbins on Union St though
