Which band wouldn't say they are the best band in Aberdeen? It gets you intrigued and then you go see them. All bands say this at some point to promote themselves.
-
I might take a look in past if it doesn't clash with 65 days of static
-
No pit but there's nothing wrong with a good ol bounce to the little kicks (especially in drummonds when they're spinning the chandalere hehe).
NOTE: It was not me spinning the chandalere.I think it was one of the bands mates.
-
What's with the avatars?
-
Some of the Exodus bouncers get a bad rep but I know some who are cool too.Liquid - I'm never in so can't comment and that goes for Priory too.I always find the majority of bouncers on Belmont Street nice guys.
-
I've not heard any word.Do you think you would have been notified by now?
-
They deserve so much more than they're gettin at the moment. They should be at T In The Park playing not as spectators.
-
so hardcore dancing must be kept out of the pits now yeah? even at hardcore gigs like bleeding through.... pity cos brandon (frontman) was telling us upstairs how impressed he was
well well ... try and keep it to a minimum next time
oh and that people who you said are stupid cos they leave their little pits and go push people out of their pit for dancing... happens to be you... like at underoath gig.... any hardcore dancing was kept further back from stage but as soon as any of it broke out it was soon encounterd by you loads of others running into us...colliding with each other....
anyway i dont care anymore.... this thread should be locked....
The pit was quite big at that gig and you people just happened to be in the way a little bit.I do admit that things got slightly out-of-hand at underoath but thats just cos I didn't appreciate people taking up half the floor and almost hitting me in the face with flaling arms.I am admitting I am at fault to just not you dancers before you jump on my back. The pit got a bit big with little participants which I don't like much either.I just tried to make the best of the situation.
-
I wasn't at the gig so can't comment on this guy with the 'tallica t-shirt but I agree with Mordred.Hardcore dancings not my thing and give me a moshpit any day but let the dancers do their thing in their own space.
-
I get what you're sayin. I personally don't like hardcore dancin and find it silly but that's me.If people want to mosh or whatever that's cool too.I just think that people should stick to respective areas when doing such things. If someone did knock you over even though you were no where near the pit then that's just stupidity.Moshing is done in a pit with other moshers not to harm people outside of the pit.
I just don't like this idea of hardcore dancers thinking they have the right to a lot of the floor space and getting in peoples way if they don't have the amount of room they want.Which I have encountered in the past.
Hardcore dancers stick to one part of the floor and moshers stick to the pit.
-
because they only just found out what hardcore was
So because you found out about hardcore before someone else your allowed to go to the gig and their not? GET A GRIP!!! If everyone thought like that then music would never progress and it'd be dead within weeks.

Am I the only one who has little to no idea what the fuck she's going on about!? I don't recall seeing a single person stopping and sorting themselves out while hxc dancing. In fact' date=' any time I've seen people dancing like that, not once have I seen them stop in the middle of it all to sort their hair or any of that shit.
You could opt for the good ol' fashioned "Minding Your Own Fucking Business", mind you. Just a thought though.[/quote']
That's a bit strong. What she's referring to is this new type of hardcore which has developed into fashion-core.Bands such as Eighteen Visions etc.Their fans do look after their looks quite a bit as to keep inline with the band they like.

Ticket prices are usually made by Agents. It costs a lot of money to put on a gig in a proper venue.
Biffy was not our gig and thus I am not at liberty to discuss the event.
Biffy was promoted by "Fuse"
Ok cool.Thanks
-
Who makes up the ticket prices for these gigs? I'm puzzled at how you could make a loss at gigs with so many people attending.Hat off to you Ross for doing this at a loss.
Out of interest...what were the figures for Biffy?
-
well said that man
Why thank you kind sir

Best bet is to go to random nights whenever you have spare time and check out who ever is playin at that particular time regardless of whether people's mentioned them on here or not and make up your own mind whether you like them or not.
-
Check out Pure Lead if you're into 80s metal

In the paper today there's a story of a guy who said he'd chop his balls off if England lost to Wales at the weekend in the rugby.True to his word when the penalty kick defeated England near full time he went home, chopped off his balls, walked back the 200yds to the pub and laid them on them table where his mates were.
See The Sun for full story

You didn't it was just the way I interpreted what you said obviously.Like you meant it was a sell-out thing to do or something.
-
