CASPA, the undisputed heavyweight of dubstep, finally makes his way north to Aberdeen. If you don't know Caspa then you don't know dubstep. With an epic list of tour dates taking him to every corner of the globe he still finds time to host a bi-monthly night at the world famous Fabric. Not content with running 3 labels, producing bomb after dancefloor bomb and the acclaimed album 'Everybody's Talking, Nobody's Listening', his remix skills are in higher demand than ever, remixing for the likes of Deadmau5, Miike Snow, Depeche Mode and Kid Sister just to name a few. Probably THE most prolific name in dubstep, Caspa's DJ sets encompass earth shattering bass from all types of dubstep mixed at the hands of master, coupled with his partner in crime MC Rod Azlan - Aberdeen, you are in for a treat.

Aged just 20, Joker is an immensely precocious talent, he burst onto the Dubstep and Grime scenes in 2008 with the vibrant Grimey Princess and Gully Brook Lane which were released on Earwax and Plasticians Terrorhythm imprint respectively. His productions possess a rare duality of intense and nonchalant energy, the soundtrack to a pimp on an interstellar journey.

Jokers musical peers include Rustie, Gemmy and Kode 9, the recognised tastemaker and man behind Hyperdub who identified Joker as one to watch when he named him as his protge for Mary Anne Hobbs hugely seminal follow-up to Dubstep Wars, Generation Bass; broadcast worldwide on BBC Radio 1.

Born to Grime and adopted by Dubstep, Joker is reluctant to be classified, but his soul drenched productions have been described as Jehri Curl Boogie and Wiley stuck in an elevator with Cameo. Whatever you call it, as we move through 2009 and beyond, Joker is one of the shining stars that can be seen in the distance and by the time the light of his electric melodys reaches our eardrums he has already begun the next phase of his journey.

  6. Snafu only plays good dance music, it certainly does not play Cascada or Clubland Extreme. Drum/Kode would have been the thing but I don't know what kind of stuff it plays now it's changed hands.

Drum/Kode is now defunct. It's now Origin, which certainly doesn't play any trance. Drum n Bass, Dubstep and Electro are the staples. Its run by Tez who used to do the programming and whatnot for Kef.

  7. A millionaire professional musician? Regardless of how you see him musically, he's considerably more successful than anyone on this thread, plus at least he gets to choose who he fucks for cash: I'm sure even you would pick Dizzee Rascal over your own mum. So in that respect, wouldn't you want to be Calvin Harris to? All he does is sit in his bedrooom at home and make music: again, your dream job minus the masterbating to any half sleazy video on youtube.

Whoever you are, and I probably know you - stop embarrassing yourself!
