I would like to echo your sentiments regarding Louis CK
and say WTF regarding Hans Teeuwen? I watched 3 clips just to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Is that funny to anyone who isn't Dutch? (I presume you're Dutch!). Comedy has more to do with culture and language than I thought. I think.
Yeah, that's why I showed some of his stuff to some friends here in the UK (they liked it a lot) I was curious if it would 'translate' as to language but also culture. I think he's still really funny though :-)
The Dr. Hemmington one cracked me up again just now.
Lucky Louie: Brilliant!!

I totally agree on Louis CK, that was a nice discovery, thanks to whoevers post it was I foud him through.
I can now share my favourite Dutch comedian with yous, seeing as he's doing shows in the UK now and someone's put the complete tv recording online.
He's really absurd/funy/extreme:
Let me know what yous think?

What do you use to record onto PC?
I finally want to get a good EP recorded, so now I'm looking at getting a good (but affordable) audio interface to complete my recording set up (so not the pricey ones). Looking at a Yamaha Audiogram, M-Audio Fast track, Tascam US-122I, Line6 Pod Studio UX1, among others. I can't find a lot of reviews online so thought I'd try it here.
Any experience/advice?
Thanks.

I've actually set myself a reminder so I don't forget to watch next week!

A quick search on google suggests he reads the minds of babies...
...Jesus. You keep him.
He was talking to a 15 year old mentally extremely retarded kid (nice kid but no recognisable words, mind of a 2 year old, that idea) who had gotten a bit violent during puberty.
He grabs this kids hands and immediately says "oh he's telling me he was very happy when he was eight"........

Amy has gone blonde. Thought she was looking nae to shabby on telly last week and would certainly be worth a rummage. More attractive than I thought she was. Would require a gag just though in case she's a squealer.
As for Sandy 'Fat Face' Thom... She has a column in the Evening depressed, need anymore be said?
Holland welcome to both. Maybe we can trade for Green Pony?
You'd need more than a gag for me tho.

and yet Holland gave us 2Unlimited....
Yeah but at least Anita was hot!
Still kinda is?

On a similar note: can you take back Derek Ogilvie too please?
He's on Dutch tv twice a week. What a fraud.
(Had never heard of him when I lived in Scotland. There must be a reason for that)

I hope she becomes a mega-star in Holland, and moves there permanently!
I just hope she does that AFTER I leave Holland for the US
-
Please don't let her out of Scotland again.
She's pretty popular here in the Netherlands and I puke a la Southpark everytime I hear that fucking song.

Oh wow! Comic Sans! Great choice!!!

Queen, Biggie, Oasis, all the well known vocal melodies fed to Songsmith.
The results are hilarious. I'm particularly keen to the Beastie's Intergalactic.
Wonderwall. I did not think Oasis could be more crap. But here it is!

No idea on luthiers but you might want to have a look here:

I built a lap steel and the book was pretty damn good.

It's certainly doable, but you need to amp up the sound properly through a good (pre-)amp.
I built a test version with a pignose and it sounds pretty cool/good!
You need to isolate the cone really good, you can easily leak most of your sound.
I had to sell the amp because I moved abroad, but I will certainly build one again.

i don't think it is about to terrain to be honest. in vancouver it is basically a series of big bastard hills yet loads of people cycle and commute everyday.
i also used to live in stockbridge in edinburgh and used to commute to heriot-watt every day (well... make that every day i attended...) which meant climbing that big bastard hill up to george st/princes st. like i said, people get used to the hills.
i think like nefarious c said it is drivers attitudes that put people off. i cycle everywhere in vancouver not because the drivers are good but because they have a basic level of respect for cyclists and acknowledge their equal right to be on the road. i don't think i'd feel the same in Aberdeen. people can definitely change driver attitudes though.
if you want to change the way motorists act and behave in the city then consider starting a critical mass event in Aberdeen! it's ace fun. i took part in it yesterday. it's a crazy feeling to cycle as a band of 1000 cyclists or so!
Agreed, it's just an attitude thing but also very much a planning thing. It also depends on what the (local) government wants to do. There was an article in the paper here just today asking why there were less accidents/deaths in traffic here even though we don't wear protective clothing, moron-helmets, etc.
I've seen the critical mass thing before, it's absolutely ace. However, in Aberdeen hardly anyone will participate...
