  1. We were pretty poor last night. All over the place at the back, defence looked shaky, keeper looked shaky, midfield misplacing passes all over the place. A decent team would have stuck a couple of those chances at the end away. We'll need to step it up in the next round.

I agree that we were far from top form but I couldn't really see us conceding for most of the match - the last 10 minutes were quite tense though. Shinnie was a joy to watch, it looks like he's settled in already.

  2. Can someone summarise the new rules for the busy (lazy) people (me).

Chips can be used to potentially enhance your team's performance during the season.

Only one chip can be played in a single Gameweek. The chips available are as follows:

All Out Attack Allows you to play a 2-5-3 formation in the next Gameweek.

Bench Boost The points scored by your bench players in the next Gameweek are included in your total.

Triple Captain Your captain points are tripled instead of doubled in the next Gameweek.

Wildcard All transfers (including those already made) in the Gameweek are free of charge.

The All Out Attack, Bench Boost and Triple Captain chips can each be used once a season and are played when saving your team on the my team page. They can be cancelled at anytime before the Gameweek deadline.

The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season, once in the first half of the season (before 28 Dec 14:00) and once in the second half of the season. The Wildcard chip is played when confirming transfers that cost points and can't be cancelled once played.

  3. I think our number in this thread has dwindled slightly, but who did people at Primavera enjoy most?

For me, Twerps, Mikal Cronin, Fumaca Preta, Ex Hex, Patti Smith, Sleater Kinney, Mac Demarco and tUnE-yArDs were the best. There wasn't really one stand-out band in my opinion, unlike the last few years, which was a shame, but it was nice to take advantage of other festival stuff like seeing bands in Parc de la Ciutadella and going to the Sala Apolo to see Thee Oh Sees and Fucked Up. I'm usually not prepared enough to research any of this stuff so tend to miss it.

Great bunch of festival, all the best.

I'd agree with that re standout bands.

Highlights for me were Single Mothers and The Hotelier - both did sets in the park too.

  4. Hopefully this one manages to go all the way - anything that encourages live music in Aberdeen has to be a good thing.

I remember a few years ago there was one planned for Seaton Park, it had a half decent line up for a start-up festival but it got canned leading up to the big day due to lack of interest.
