  1. It is a bit sudden, but with the six nations being split with ITV, the golf going to Sky and moving BBC3 to iPlayer, it's not a huge surprise.

As much as it was saving money sharing with Sky, they were still sending a raft of people out to each race to cover it regardless of if it was live or not, plus they were still needing to pay for the feed from F1M to dissect for the highlights. It's just a shame that they didn't go with Channel 4 instead of Sky, then it would have stayed free to air completely.

  2. It's part of the problem with coming from the North East of Scotland, you're not supposed to better yourself or be successful, you're just supposed to put up with working in the oil or fish and fuck you if you dare to dream, it's even worse if you contemplate creating something that will allow others to benefit from your success.

I like Brewdog, as again they got me to try different beers. I like supporting them as they are local and seem to be doing a good job. The marketing and bollocks on the bottles are just there to get a reaction, the main thing that matters is if you like the beer and bars.

If everyone boycotted companies where they didn't like the owner, I dare say Sky, Fox, the Sun, the Times and all other News International properties would be bust by now.

  3. For photographers look at camera clubs or students studying photography, they will need the experience, and you should be able to look at their past work to get a feel for what they can do.

You might even be able to get a couple of people to do it, so you get different perspectives on the same event, and it will probably still be cheaper than a professional.

  4. I'm currently reading And Another Thing... while sitting in the Italian sun.

It's good but seems to spend far too much time filling gaps with guide entries and explaining races you have already met (Vogons) while not really explaining about the four main characters which is a bit disjointed and makes you wonder who the book is pitched at, people new to the series or people familiar with the series.

  5. Hardly, since when has a week been old. Considering how there is only a new thread made on this forum once every few YEARS then a week is hardly old by this forums standards.

Considering that it was announced at the AGM on the 6th of June and no doubt all over twitter of you follow them, then as mentioned in the P&J on the 8th then it's at least two weeks late.

Just wait until you find out the current Brewdog bar is going to be turned into a BottleDog.
