DON'T. MENTION. MUSE. TO. ME
*cries* :'( (in short' date=' i was in the crush and got dragged out and had to watch the whole thing from a distance with ONE shoe. it was shit)[/quote']
that sucks! i managed to get to the front after having to go back to my tent for batteries for my camera. Got some great photo's a few from the steward side of the barrier in front of the disabled ramp. Ah the advantages of working with all the stewards on the NME stage

i never had to "sit down" in the toilets...which on it's own is a bit worrying
highlights of the weekend were muse' date=' ash and the pixies for me, but the zutons rocked like fuck, as did dogs die.. and the strokes. I also enjoyed allergo, franz ferdinand and kings of leon waay more than i thought i would. I had some stupid bitch with a horn beside me for the pixies as well, and she insisted on blowing it at the best fucking part of every fucking song, eg: i got a broken TOOOOOOOOOOT, uh huh, i got a broken PAAAAAAAARP, fucking stupid bitch, and she kept on smacking me in the face with her handbag when she jumped up and down, almost as bad as the complete tossfuck at ash with a backpack the size of a small person...i mean, WTF did he have in it?[/quote']
i had some twat behind me during the pixies who kept putting his arm round my throat, at which point i told him if he did it again i would sink my teeth into said arm. about ten minutes later his arm was there, and suddenly he moved away from me with teeth marks in his arm.

Has anyone else experienced the might of AOL Broadband Radio stations. There's a huge list of radios stations with various stations for each musical genre' date=' e.g Hair Metal, Adult Rock, 70's Disco etc and they're fantastic listening, beats the shit out of Virgin Radio's non-stop Dandy Warhols extravaganza's.
I'm currently listening to the "Lounge" station, classic obscure Exotica soundscapes from the Tiki Rooms of yesteryear. I strongly advise all AOL users to have a browse, something for all tastes.....even Goths.[/quote']
I would but it means i have to disable my firewall, and when i switch it back on i end up getting disconnected so i usually just leave it

The sister of Mark Hamilton from Ash had a bet with him and the rest of Ash that they would never make it, and use to tease him about it.

Bands that have recently played or will play the garage in glasgow, bloodhound gang, primal scream, ICP. Incidently this thread is 8th from the top in a google search for glasgow garage.

i only really went to see Spike, stayed for the cuts then left to meet a friend.
I was a bit worried that there didn't seem that many people there, but i presume it got busier as the night went on.
-
ah ok sorry my appologies
-
nope still don't see your point. Had hog written that post then i would agree with you, but he did not, he probably didn't know jake was going to write that.
-
Does no-one else find this funny? Hypocrisy at it's best.
not really as it's not the almighty hog slagging off jaco its jake, and he never said he was above that sort of thing
-
according to the Daily Record they didn't play any songs from after 1999! I really don't think they made the gig and just wrote anything.
Half the security seemed to be watching the band more than the crowd.yeah it always happens, it's the same at football games (unless you have no interest in football at all).
-
i had the worst view of all, but then i was supposed to be watching the crowd not the bands, and being stuck behind the sound stage ment my job was pretty easy
-
not every one likes slipknot and korn, also during the mammoth delay between korn and metallica would you not have liked to be able to go and hear good local bands as apposed to the piped music they were playing? Korn did a great job getting the crowd ready for metallica but the wait drained all the anticipation out of the crowd, a few local bands could have kept it going

i sold my ticket for the second day as the atmosphere on the wednesday was just so bad. Missed him on the wednesday but caught all the others. Thought there could have been more to do while waiting for the bands to appear apart from get food, drink, merchandise, pay a fortune for a fairground ride (that was playing dance music!!). Would have been far better if they had a second stage with local bands playing so you had an alternative.

got my ticket on sunday, made me skint but will be worth it
-
yeah they were playing plenty of nirvana last night at exodus, sort of reminded me of the palace, although the rings don't really work that well on the small exodus dance floor
-
i love the album, wish i could get to see them live, one of my friends saw them a few times before take me out was released
-
Working at McDonalds for 6 years, infulences of other people that worked there also heard a lot of good songs on the in store cd that made me find out who they were by and buy the albums with the songs on them, subsequent albums and concert tickets to see them live

not sure if it should be here or the wasteland but will stick it here
what metal band are you?
My Results:
Death
You are Death! You are one of the key inventors of modern day death metal. With every album you've always gotten better. You're well respected in the music industry. The metal world wept when your band creator passed away from a brain tumor. Symbolism is an important property in your music.
