yus two pages and 114 hits on our web site thanks to one thread
bryn like to add any more?
Yes, on the basis of keeping consistancy, I'd like to add that those 114 hits (most of which undoubtedly not caused by this thread) serve absolutly nothing except your own ego. Right I'm done, cheers.

Wow..Your like. Smart.
Wow..You're like, quite blatantly, stupid.

why is being "inoffensive" a bad thing?
I'd suggest you should think beyond the word!! *gasps of awe*
Connotations of 'inoffensive' in musical context - un-trying, un-original, potentially boring (leaving room for a 'good tune'; which this isn't), I could go on..

if it's outwith the QMU' date=' you'll not be able to poster for it in the QM as it's a "rival" event. go with the general shops in the west end which lots of students frequent, as maxi suggested.

Ah, that would make sense.

Hasn't half of Scotland played drums for AWB? I'm sure I've met at least three...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Bill Kemp has.
-
QMU is a good option. Where is the gig being held?

What he said ^. I take a similar stance when listening. I won't dismiss somethin just because it isn't to my taste. Take Hot Mangu for instance. Their style of music really ain't my thing' date=' but they're very good at what they do, and that comes through in their tracks. This just didn't give me anything. It's not awful, but it's the sort of track that'd be playing the the background and it wouldn't really annoy you, or please you. You just wouldn't notice it was there.[/quote']
I get the feeling your opinion is so polluted by your own musical tastes you simply posess no ability whatsoever to think objectively, regardless of the contrived attempt above.
I'd also suggest this notion is generally very potent among fans of 80s rock / metal etc.

Was it the young American drummer?
he was young and did have a baseball cap on backwards...
-
Is the current AWB not one of these bands that has about one original member or something?
Nah, when I saw them it was just a new drummer.
-
Work Ethic is cool. Lots of cliches, but theres one particularly cool little break which I'd suggest makes it stand apart from a lot of other music of similar style.

Money is no issue between me and Richard.

I saw them at the Lemon Tree about four years ago. Quality night, you should go!

Anyone else excited?

why dont you post some of your stuff? You seem great at laying into everyone else who posts songs on here' date=' why not give us a chance to poke holes in your music which must, by your godlike opinions on other peoples work, be fucking amazing.[/quote']
You've no highground here whatsoever, why should I be scorned for having a certain opinion? Its all I can offer after all and we all know censoring my (or anyones) opinion is truly a matter of the highest evil and stifling of society. I wouldn't want a selfish pig like you, completely unable to think objectively, listening to my music and trying to 'poke holes' in it.
I have actually posted quite a lot of music on this forum.

I think its gash, the vocals are stiff, robotic almost, and yes, that awful pretend-accent. I'd suggest that just because you've been in bands for years etc doesn't for a second mean you know what you're doing. Your 'reputation' in Aberdeen is probably the only thing deluding people into not actually saying that this is cringy and embarrassing to listen to.
I don't know what you want to achieve, but vocals as poor as that will get ya nowhere.
-
are you ever fucking happy?
Uh, yeah...?
-
Its safe and generic though provided me with satisfactory sounds to clean my room to.

Probably Aphex Twin's Ambient Works Volume1. Second-hand at about four pounds I listened to it all through my exams in January.

Is there not a Smash Hits forum to post this on?

Danny is saaaaadddddd

Continuing with my current home recording obsession' date=' what do you think of Cubase. I have pretty much sussed Audition but the VST's I have say that they are for Cubase. Thoughts?
P.S. What is a dongle? Do I need one for Cubase?[/quote']
I found it quite the motivation-killer. Get Ableton!

I must admit it was a bit patronising when The News reporter called it a "shock victory". Scotland have actually beaten England before.
It wasn't exactly an 'expected' win though. Six years since Scotland last beat 'em with an English team far superior on paper.
Would you say that good technical instrumental skill is essential to a good band?
