  1. I've decided I'm done with Aberdeen Football Club. It's been a rollercoaster ride for the past twenty years (God, that makes me sound old), but it's a frustrating part of my life that I'm better off without. I've put so much in, and got very little back.

I don't need to support a football club. It's easier that way.

I feel the same a lot of the time. Although some of my best memories are of being at games (especially successful away days). Life would certainly be a lot cheaper for me without AFC. All the shite just makes the good times even better :) Thats what i tell myself anyway

  2. i'm a rope access tech/insulation engineer(to trade)/scaffold apprentice at the minute. One of these multi-disciplined jobs offshore. Working on the BP Clair.

I enjoy it :) Good money, Loads of time off (4 weeks paid hols too this year), Good banter, Very varied, All training provided by BP and very physically rewarding - i think...

Not the job of my dreams, but i never dreamt of working so hey ho! :)

  3. Was pretty shite.

Calderwood played Lovell but nae Miller?! strange...Macguire started on the left wing and is defintaely nae a winger - He should have started with Aluko. Don't think macguire whipped one ball into the box. He looked like a lost boy...again..think he should play upfront or nae at all. Felt sorry for Mackie too but think more of the boos were for a midfeilder going on instead of a striker and the inevitable change to 4-5-1 and defending deep inviting attack shite that we are so used too :( nevermind at least the back four was sensible for a change.

Hope Rangers are ready to be pumped on saturday! eek!

  4. yeh, housing here is way too steep. i tried holding off moving to a 'proper family house' for ages but after seeing constant price rises over the years i just thought - fuck it! No point waiting till i can comfortably afford that family home if my young (ever ageing) family can't enjoy it. Purchasing our new house has fair made the wife and i buck up our spending habits... i forgot that bigger homes mean bigger bills, more council tax, loads of maintenance and bloody diy! i'm a wage slave now :(

Hopefully it's our 2nd and last move. our whole purchasing experience was horrible - never buy through grant smith law practice.

anyway was there not a government initiative announced recently to help key workers get a foot on the ladder?

Although aberdeen is close minded, on the upside it doesn't smell like edinburgh, isn't full of weegies and isn't too tinky... IMO

  5. my 3 year old daughter keeps asking me why "the kids are on fire in the bedroom?"

i can't think of nothing apart from that they shouldn't have been playing with matches or lighters...

i should think myself lucky that she isn't asking why "the cunt sits at his desk... plotting away" lol

  6. theres one in 'oldboy' that is class.

nutter goes along this lengthy corrider and kicks ass getting a knife in his back on the way. when he gets to the other side he waits for the lift that arrives full of radgees, it then cuts to the ground floor of the lift where the door opens and the radgees all fall out, fucked.

    good film too :)

  7. i'm thinking about this just now but the line isn't as good as it has been in previous years, and i'm not sure if my mate can get it off work :( fingers crossed though. just sold my t in the pork tickets as people pulled out on me and it wouldn't be the same without them

you can fly direct to valencia from newcastle for about 210 i think and then coaches from the airport :)

  8. Been having a look around, what do people think about this one:

    http://www.evesham.com/products/info.asp?e=88E92CFE-7A28-4EE6-8930-2FBA6CF0B3F1

100 cheaper and better specced than the equivilent dell with a 3 year warranty (1 year on site + 2 year RTB).

Anyone dealt with Evesham before for systems?

    hi ho,

been looking around too and think i might be going for this option paying in 2008 (before the interest repayment thing kicks in obviously:)

Seen any better ones with the same warranties?

Acer Aspire 5683WLMi Laptop LX.AFQ0X.023 From Acer Notebooks - Acer Laptops in the UK

this one only has a year long warranty but looks good
