  1. Ah, yes I remember now the resident ESP expert hehe. To be honest I kinda lost faith in the brand and particular model.after the swtich thing even though it wasn't a big deal. But it was one of those things that would sit in the back of your mind " oh what's gonna happen next" sorta thing and i'm paranoid about things breaking lol. I chose the ESP M-II Urban camo because i couldn't resist the ole superstrat body and the ole' Flloyd Rose and for a wee bit more i was getting decent quality. The only thing i was down about was the satin finish but thats not a big deal at all lol. also less bells and whistles on it means less to go wrong lol and if something does... alot less wiring to worry about lol...i hope. I guess you could say the EC-1000 was a little venture out of the house of super strat style and duel EMG 81's lol. a KH-2 Signiture ?! a Jeff Henneman ESP1? wasnt there a bit of controversey surrounding the inlays? lol. I'm unworthy to play such guitars lol But thanks for your assistance in resolving my guitar woes, should get a promotion dude!
  2. Hey, I don't know if it's just me but I have had nothing but trouble with the LTD brand. I purchased an EC-1000 Deluxe (the one with the Seymour Duncan JB's ) and it was the 2007 model believe. For the first couple of months it was fine but it soon developed an earthing problem. As I purchased the guitar from RnB the guys there had alook at the troublesome guitar on 4 different occassions and agreed that the wiring was indeed sub-par. Still, after 4 attempts at trying to resolve the issue it was decided that a brand new guitar of the same type would be ordered. Within 3 days I had the new guitar, same make and model except it was the 2008 model and I must say it was horrible!! The finish was sloppy, the fret work was shite and to top it all off the pick up switch was full of crap which meant it would cut out when switching to the bridge pick up. Although the pick up situation was resolved by the good people at RnB I believe that guitar should of never left the factory like that so I decided that I would invest in something else...... an ESP M-II Urban Camo which set me back 1,560 or something lol. I must say that the staff at RnB are Incredibly helpful and very polite as I was moaning like a little bitch for the whole saga lol. Just a note.. my Jackson DXMG Dinky was more preferable to the LTD EC-1000 which i found to be well over priced at 900 but oh wells. Just wondered if anyone has fallen foul of the quality decline of new LTD's? ( I have an old LTD H-100 which is well built lol so not totally against LTD) Cheers! Rant Over.
  3. Hey! Avoid The morning Require a rythm guitarist. We write our own material and our style is predominatly Punk/Powerpop you can check out our myspace here : MySpace.com - Avoid The Morning We're an experienced band have played with some amazing bands such as Yashin Fighting With Wire Paige Not Advised, Lost On Landing , The Gap Year Riot and more recently Right hand left and the Xcerts. We would prefer someone who has played a couple of gigs and preferable in the 18 + bracket. Cheers!
  4. Hey, Been there before.. in the end I had to buy a new lamp trust me..simpler and you won't rip your fingers to shreds trying to get it out.
  5. Right, personally I feel this has gotten well out of hand... i've already put in my 2 cents previously. I think maybe this should be rapped up and put away for a rainy day or something lol. comments both critical, supportive ( in the minority but there's a couple) and the damn right sadistic have been posted. My god it was a laugh though lol this has been the most time i've spent on Aberdeen Music lol... oh... and will someone buy my fucking amp?! lol....
  6. Parallel FX Loop, my bad sorry didnt read it properly hahah. I'm really wanting rid of this thing this week as it's getting in my way now.
  7. Right, I must say i've read through this giant rant about this band Toxic Distortion...and yes I did go on their myspace page as well just to get an insight into " Aberdeens' most well known hair metal glam ..or something" I can't be bothered to go back and check what they actually said.. Must say, i'm an old salt on ye olde Aberdeen Music and have done my fair share of gigs and I can't say for one minute i've heard of these chaps. I will give them points for being energetic and positive about themselves but i'll say they took it that step too fair with their Holier Than Thou vibes and personally from what i've seen I think they are well too cocky and need to tone down a bit .The attitude doesn't work in 2008...let's face it this is more Spinal Tap than Motley Crue...Sorry lads. You don't win friends with salad ..or in this case in your face attitude and ficticious U.S tour dates. As for the age old believe that "Any publicity is good publicity" as was conveyed in a couple of threads past . A whole host of well known names on the Aberdeen music scene saying a band is shit is not by any far stretch of the imagination going to encourage people to go see a band for the purposes of hearing some good music but rather to shore up claims of the utter pappness of said band.
  8. Hey! I'm selling my Marshall TSL 602 60 Watt Combo Valve Amp. Its is a reluctant sale but due to the constant threat of hearnias carrying this beast down 3 flights of stairs and up them aswell, I feel that someone who is in better physical condition and location would profit from this piece of hardhare. Please be advised that unfortunately the pedal that came with this amp was taken at a gig along with some of my leads and was never returned so please be advised there is no pedal with this amp. It has been gigged so there are a couple of tiny aesthetic dings that have occured from placing it down on rough surfaces other than that the amp is in perfect condition and sounds awesome!! I am willing to accept any reasonable offers on this well built (British built) Valve Amp Combo. Cheers! http://www.aberdeen-music.com/galleries/files/1/0/6/9/dscf3443_thumb.jpg' alt='dscf3443_thumb.jpg'> If more photos are needed let me know!

  17. Hey, names james i'm 17, been playing guitar for a few years now, and have made a bit of a leap in music taste from bands such as metallica to the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Billy Talent. Currently, i am looking for people to jam with who have similiar tastes as me and who are up for a wee jam sometime. ( Knowing my luck nobody will answer to this post except with a snide remark). Any reply would be grand ( except for snide remarks )

  20. Being a king/Queen is just ceremonial now , i mean sure they have the choice on whether or not a PM is chosen(really can't deny a PM his/her post, last time that happened was in 1708) or whether or not parliament is dissolved ( that is if a vote of confidence is not taken by the PM's party of course) and of course the approvement of a bill presented by the house of lords in order to make it a law. But other than that the monarchy is quite ceremonial ( still the queen has an ace carriage, beats the popemobile thumbs down!)
  21. Can you imagine sitting in the living room of that kids house and hearing " Orange juice raped my father" ,quite amusing
