  1. i love avril lavigne's cover of fuel by metallica. it hurt me to listen to the original after i'd heard avril's cut; james hetfield murders that track.
  2. if i was trying to impress them then i wouldn't have mispelt "stores" as "strores". as for the hypothesized remix i can exclusively reveal that although devin bombarded lavigne with calls about the collaboration there are no plans for the two artists to get together. her single will be backed by an acoustic version of "dont tell me" on cd1 and cd2 (enhanced) will feature "take me away" from the "under my skin" album.
  3. wow! avril lavignes amazing new single "don't tell me" hits strores today. it is available on cd or enhanced cd (w/ video and extra tracks) format. it is the first release to her forthcoming "under my skin" album, a followup to the best selling "let go".
  4. needles album? i think i just wet myself with excitement
  5. they played on the roof in the video of their first single (shinobivsdragonninja). lostprophets are fantastic can't wait to see them at download scotland. they're all so hot too :O apart from jamie oliver (get a haircut!)
  6. wow! rushed out and bought the needles ep on monday. it's crazy good. it's the best thing i've heard since the special taiwanese edition of avril lavignes debut album packaged with the american wedding soundtrack (and it was only 25, yay!)
  7. is it just me or does this sound a bit dodgy? i might have expected someone setting up a credit card site for selling merchandise for bands to use proper grammar/spelling (i.e. "NO band is to small..." should read "NO band is TOO small") maybe im just being overly critical. apologies if i've got it wholly wrong.
  8. i really dont know what to think about the darkness. the album is great fun to listen to but lets face it, j hawkins seems to be a total knob. i dont know him personally but the way he comes accross in interviews doesnt help me like him any more. i got into the darkness quite early on before they got big. i was at their last gig at king tuts but had their ep a few months before it was released on a cdr (i used to live with a relative of the bassist).i bought the ep when it was released off the website and i just sold it (signed) on ebay for 135 because i think the bubble is going to burst very soon. i dont think they are a joke band but their act is wearing quite thin. its obvious that they're having fun which is great and they are getting people into queen and ac/dc which is definietly a positive. i think it was an absolute scandal that they walked away with best british rock at the brits. say what you want about stereophonics but i think they're fucking ace and the new album is on a par with their first (which was untouchable in the brit-pop indie period of the 90's). feeder have had two amazing albums (polythene and yesterday went too soon) and two commercialy successful and very strong albums (echo park and comfort). muse have always been super good (even though showbiz attracted somne unfair radiohead comparisons) but for the darkness to win against these bands was a total joke. don't quite know what the purpose of that rant was but it feels good to get it off my chest.
