Small 16GB one, second hand. I don't need anything fancy, just using it to view sheet music. The app I want to use says it has to have iOS 4.2.1 or later.
Anyone got one that they might sell?
Cheers

Walking Tours from www.hiddenaberdeen.co.uk
“A Scots Handsel” The Musical Tour
Monday 02 April 2012, Tour commences at 7.30pm
Meet at the Historic Green
For the first time in the city, we invite you to a ‘mobile’ concert party – follow the performers around from the Green through Aberdeen’s old routes and back, and listen to songs which illustrate scenes of the city’s history, with a couple of poems chucked into the mix. The ‘handsel’ was the first gift given to a baby by visitors – we at Hidden Aberdeen tours present you with the gift of our colourful and exciting heritage, featuring the Aberdeen Youth Choir, local adult folk musicians, and poets from the North East Writers’ group.
The only concert you won’t get stiff legs at from sitting too long! Come and enjoy a night of song and poetry in the city. A circular tour which begins and ends in the historic Green.
Approx 2hrs (timing may vary)
Tickets £10 (U16s, seniors, students, unwaged - £5)
Please arrive at the start point of each tour and present tickets at least 10 minutes in advance of departure.

Other stuff I like: cool wee places that you don't get anywhere else. One-Up, E.A.R.L, The Tunnels, etc.
The massive granite underground passages underneath Union Street, The Tunnels lives in one of them. Someone should open it all up and put some more wee shops in them or something.

I like not being landlocked. I went for a walk round the bay between Torry and Nigg today and it was ace. Really pretty scenery, fantastic weather and I had the new School of Seven Bells record in the headphones (which incidentally is really good, FYI). Taking a walk round there and then stopping for a drink at Campbells and watching the boats go in and out all day is braw. Normally I don't like to blow my own trumpet about how I've had a brilliant Monday off in the sun when I'm aware that so many of you were probably working, but: toot toot.
A post that not only has a pretty picture but is on-topic, I could kiss you!!!

Good thing: Fyvie just smashed record for hottest Scottish day in March. Facebook stuff here

It was always good to go to gigs in Aberdeen, because I would know that several friends of mine would be guaranteed to be there. I do miss that aspect of Aberdeen, especially as I used to go to 10 gigs or so a month.
The only things I really miss are the people and the countryside. And The Moorings, obviously.
A good thing about Aberdeen: the number of people in the music scene is quite small.
A bad thing about Aberdeen: the number of people in the music scene is quite small.
Depends on your mood, I suppose

Another thing that makes this place unique - Doric. It's not like I come from some far-off land (Cumbernauld) but when I moved up here people might aswell have been speaking in Russian

Apologies if there is a thread already kicking around.
I thought it would be nice to start a list of cool things about Aberdeen city/shire that makes the area interesting or unique. I'll start:
Aberdeen Harbour is the oldest business in the UK
Aberdeen is home to the world's strongest beer
Aberdeenshire regularly features as one of the best places to live in the UK
Aberdeen Uni is voted the safest place to study in the UK, and gives one of the best social experiences for students.

still for sale. Surely there's someone out there that wants a sax? Is this the longest time that something has been up for sale here? I think so!

Hey folks
There are still some spaces available for Sunday 15th.

I'm really sorry jcn, I've already started my cd burning campaign. Really gutted. Your previous stuff is great.
Hope you're feeling better!
Aw, bum hats. Nevermind, I think I will ask the hubby to help me record a song anyway and stick it on soundcloud. Maybe if I ask for a small donation per download I could contribute it to whatever you raise from the kilau cd? Cheers for the compliment, much appreciated

I don't suppose I could submit a track for this? Sorry, been ill

I got in touch with Thomann and they recommended the Marshall AS50D. http://www.thomann.de/gb/marshall_as50d.htm
I still don't have a clue!

I'm looking for a small amp with a jack and xlr input. It doesn't have to have a lot of different controls on it, because frankly I won't know how to use them. I just want it to have a volume controla and for it to make a good sound.
Any suggestions?

How do I get to Maryculter? I don't drive, the only bus service I can find is the 204 and it only goes from Maryculter into Aberdeen in the morning, then from Aberdeen to Maryculter at night.

I'll come up with something.

We have now added our sister studio Treble R Vocal Tuition into this offer. The studio is on St. Swithin Street so great for those living on the west-end of town.
