I am a singer/songwriter from Aberdeen. I have been working on a project called Seeing Red for a year now. I have recorded an EP, played some solo gigs with it, and now I want to start a full assault on gigging around the country with a full live band.

On the record I have strings, choirs, percussion, backing vocals etc alongside the standard 4 piece rock/pop combo. I am currently about to pay the session players from Glasgow that recorded the album to fill the slots in the band I am needing to fill, but I would rather find a keyboard player, female vocalist and drummer reasonably local who enjoy the music, can commit to working on the songs already written and those that will come in the future and someone who can live with money not being in their pocket through this venture from day one.

I have a rehearsal room, and soon to be recording space, on tap and from me you get a very hard working, experienced and focused individual who will put in the time and effort required to sustan the high levels of ambition that both I and the other musicians involved hold.

Influences include: Bruce Springsteen, James Blunt, Bon Jovi and Damien Rice.

Any Keyboard players, Vocalists, Drummers/Percussionists who feel they are up to the job please write back to me as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you.

My apologies... I could be very wrong but I thought that was the technical term for it? I mean that the speakers and monitors are not self powered, its just the mixer... I thought this was called a passive PA system no?

Not really... Just the gneneral jist of what was above, probably what I said about the Drummer would apply. Somebody who is solid, creative and confident... But also someone who can cope with the easy or less interesting bits but enjoy them too...

Looking for members to form a band which will have a private professional quality recording/rehearsal space and will develop a busy gigging and writing schedule. Some material has been written and I am currently in the process of recordng more. Now I just need the right mix of people together in a room who enjoy it and can see the potential in it.

I have been in quite a few different groups and so far they have broken down because of lack of commitment and a change of musical tastes... So here I am being very up front about what we are looking for for both.

We Require:

Keyboards - (Not a 'synth dude' but preferably a Piano player by background with knowledge/desire to work with a smapler to trigger a wide variety of parts etc. Or perhaps someone who can play out these parts live)

Bassist

Percussionist - An experienced drummer able to keep good time and be creative but also willing to play the 'boring' bits when required.

Just now I can send MP3's to anyone maybe interested as I haven't got them uploaded anywhere. While the music may be classed as boring to many its music which I love and think sounds great. I am influenced by a lot of American Rock and various others including: Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Biffy Clyro, Queen, KT Tunstall, Dire Straits, Jimmy Eat World, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, 3 Doors Down.

This is currently under consideration... Probably not. There will be some sort of catering, both food and drink, but probably not alcohol, except for particular events or occasions.

How much demand would there be for a purpose built music facility in Aberdeen which had: A multi purpose events hall for live shows, fully equipped practice rooms, storage area for band equipment, the best quality studio in Aberdeen, online booking/special offers and offered various different instrument and performance tuition from established names in Aberdeen and wider a field, all under one roof..

Just an idea I am working on with a few experienced folks in Aberdeen and Glasgow. I just wanted to know if you all feel there is a market there for it? Our research shows that there is, particularly amongst younger bands/musicians. However, I feel that a top notch facility such as this could benefit musicians in the North East of all ages... Particularly if within 10-15 mins of City Centre (Just a first bus away....)

Title says it all... Preferably looking for the model with built in Effects. If anyone is selling one, or knows where I could purchase one in the UK, please tell me. Cheers!

Sorry guys but I for one disagree, I have a lot of time for what he has to say, he's just about to complete a PHD in Astronomy, is now multi million selling author, an award winning guitarist, and one of the best charity funsdraisers there are in the music business. He has every right to say what he wants to... Regardless of how 'prickish' it comes across.

And even then, that quote is aimed at the papers critics... Not the public as a whole if you read the whole paragraph, to which he is just defending his work, which most of us would if it were under attack... Especially if in the case of we will rock you where it plays to packed houses most nights and continues to win people's choice awards.

How did you manage to get the Paris gig man? Im going there at beginning of summer and already have a couple of gigs lined up in a couple of other places, but Paris I dont have any contacts.

Saw them last night at HMT, very enjoyable, especially the second half... They can't act, but then again they were just themselves really, took the mick oot themselves.

Still up for grabs and room for serious offers... bear in mind both these heads are less than 2 months old and next to Zero wear/tear.

If you took the discount on these heads, and went and got a good second hand cab, you'd be laughing all the way to the bank!

I have too much gear and Im trying to get some money to put towards a trip to Europe in the summer. Im trimming what Ive got to the things I will absoloutely definitely use... And I have a DSL head so that will keep me going for a while.
