  1. That sounds really quite heavy handed. o_O I know that this is applicable to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and something that obviously has a big impact on those coming from outwith Europe etc. Needs to be more publicity somewhere about this for smaller venues/live performing venues it seems.
  2. wow!! i'm so excited about the prospect of a mudd club reunion-and gutted I've missed it already! still think about those happy days, and it's been great reading everyone's memories. i remember the circle of folk break dancing (think that was prob my mates!!) the dodgy pints, the goths cluttering up the hallway, and some people even had the same seats each week-a regular spot for some!! i went for years and always had a good night and made some great mates. always remember hanging around outside for about an hour after the club, either chatting away to people or waiting for folk to come out. remember some rad snow ball fights after in the winter. i remember the slightly weirder music got played at the start and then got a bit more varied as the night went on-beastie boys, chemical brothers 'hey boy hey girl and prodigy spring to mind. loving the enthusiasm for this-hope to see you all soon!
  3. How cool?! Wasn't Col-I know that! ------------------------------------------------------- www.universal-communication.net
  4. so many to choose from, but here's a few of my faves: Radiohead with Marion supporting back in '95 I think it was GSYBE + Sigur Ros Electric Eel Shock (only saw the first gig) or Queen Adreena
  5. Check this out! http://www.universal-communication.net/biomechanoid/bio02.html latest flash plugin required benefits from decent processor speed and broadband connection, altho' it should work fine with lower spec...you'll just need to be a bit more patient there are a bunch of tracks for download and a few video clips too (incl Jungle Nation at Kef and Symbiosis at The Lemon Tree) the UCN site has had a bit of an update too.... downloads available from all current UCN projects - click below www.universal-communication.net see you soon!
  6. Martin BSE and Biomechanoid r doing a semi-improvised Holistic Systems set @ Elizium (Drakes) this Saturday, supporting Japanese manga-techno-industrial-metal-electro-pop-goth band Psydoll - also The Kitchen with Amanda from Bis r playing.... so should be a suitably strange evening ;-) Holistic Systems will be on quite early (9pm - guess), but as Elizium r giving away a unique, one off limited edition FREE UCN cd compilation (in a nice box) to the first 42 people thru the door, u should all come along nice and early. See you there
