-
you mean they're songs??? i'd like to see u do wall of skin and that one with the foreign title i used to play on the radio acoustic. but i bet we get a 25 minute version of stars instead.
-
hey leave the great shaky alone, much misunderstood
but patrick boo summed the darkness up calling them a cross between queen and the village people
-
i saw craig on monday and he promises deadloss are going to attempt to play acoustic, but will bri be able to stop screaming?
or indeed will they have recovered from the fudge awards????
-
twas an art statement, look at the amount of money in the world that is either sitting doing nothing or being literally wasted? the film is hilarious i saw it one night very late on channel 4 (where else?)
and the machine gun incident at the brits was hilarious as well, you know for a while the brits was actually worth watching for incidents like that....
now its just corporate backslapping, oh i suppose in reality its always been like that hasn't it?
-
got an album of theirs from last year and i thought it was pish
i do like some of the 80's stuff though
-
i know a top forty star at drakes, woo hoo!
the album is great, been listening to it a lot this week
-
especially as his surname was beard as well, that was always kinda ironic.
but mr beard had one of those tom sellock/burt reynolds type tashes that were popular in the 1980's
-
some bands have made a whole career out of making mistakes on records........
don't think they were intentional though
-
best beards ever dunno about band but they have had their moments for sure
-
yes oasis have a lot to answer for
and in the pop world so do take that and the spice girls
spoilt the bloody party
-
ooh ross i think an early 90's revival is on the cards, i think bands around that time seemed to have more fun, everything is so formulated these days. and there were many different scenes for the 'kids' to get into - grebo, grunge, baggy etc.....
some of the music has dated but it still holds a place in my heart.

i'm totally with you there, the KLF were a brilliant project from the early work like the reworking of the doctor who theme, the book 'how to get a number one' and of course the white room album and its many remixes, duetting with the late Tammy Wynette, the burning of a million quid and their antics at the brit awards throwing dead sheep around and playing at the ceremony with extreme noise terror. i still wish that they had released the proposed follow up the black album with ENT, does anyone know if it was actually recorded?
i think the industry lacks things like this nowadays, everything seems to be geared towards shifting records and superstardom, The KLF were indeed geniuses and i shall dig out my copy of The White Room when I get home.

craig did a couple of acoustic songs for my northsound show a couple of years ago and it was wicked, one not to be missed even if deadloss superstar are playing (just japing lads)
-

sounds wicked, don't suppose you've recorded country roads???
-
fair enough about rush, you may get away with their number 25 smash hit from 1981 tom sawyer....
-
and how could i forget van halen????
-
maybe with some added steppenwolf, bachman turner overdrive, rush, whitesnake, guns n roses, poisen, motley crue and toto....
I'll get me coat....
-
no i was thinking more on the lines of boston, alice cooper, status quo and rainbow
there's a serious air guitar golden oldies section on steve wright on radio 2 at the mo, its giving me ideas....
actually i'll just sit at my table and get more pissed probably...
Andre 3000 - the hip-hop David Bowie?
in Music Discussion

so does this mean we can expect a rock project from andre 3000 in the same vein as the much underated and universally panned bowie project tin machine?
3000 has expressed a desire to work with the likes of the white stripes....
