  1. Ya don't fancy PM-ing me a number/email d'ya?

Are The Almighty still with Sanctury?

I saw Ricky with band at the Download Festival this year and he was amazing, not as good as 12 years ago when they opened for Iron Maiden at Donington thou :headbang::rockon:

  2. I would say get both Keeper of the seven keys Pt I and II as they are both excellant albums, the songs Future World, Halloween and A Song That Wasn't Right from Part I are all top class

As for Manowar i have never saw the fascination with them, they always seemed to be the band you associate with the spotty teenager with the cut off denim jacket over the leather one, with the studded wrist bands an image i didn't want to associate with when i was growing up listening to metal.

I never have like the studded wrist bands except on Kerry King obviously :)

  3. Just got this email from seasons of Mist:-

Nov 16th, 2004 Attila returns to Mayhem

Maniac is out of the band and back in comes Attila Csihar. He will from now on take Maniacs role as a front figure with immediate effect. All though the rumors have been flourishing over the past months, nothing was decided until now. The reason for this change lies in a more private matters, but it also deals with Maniacs inability to tour.

Maniac was, and will always be a part of our legacy, and it has been an honor to work with him for the last 10 years. Respect

  4. i think i'm the only one here that actually likes emotive. but then i was bound to' date=' i'm pretty much an obsessive fan ;']

it's not nearly as good as thirteenth step. or mer de noms. but pretty damn good all the same.

i was glad we got another apc album. cause i have a feeling that once maynard goes back full time to tool and the other members of the band go to wherever they're going; we won't hear from a perfect circle again.

not that i'm complaining about the new tool album. nuhuh.

Your not alone i like it too

  5. Anyone heard halo? Wasnt it them who wrote "lunatic ride"??

Then again that was a real shit release if it was........

There was another Halo from the UK, but dont know which had a song lunatic ride. I have two Halo albums and its not on them, this Halo play slow downtuned grind in a similar fashion to Godflesh and should make a welcome break from the out and out grind of the other bands.

  6. I can appreciate your love for cathedral but they dont do anything for me. I was there for him and i think the support band was very unappropriate. Ok the guy had sum energy and ville valo doesnt exactly run about stage' date=' but him arent about that and never have been.

Being a him fan aint that bad![/quote']

Considering Ville wears a Carcass T-shirt, the drummer is permently wearing Morbid Angel T-shirts and various members have death metal side projects i dont find Cathedral inappropriate at all.

But being a HIM fan im sure you'd have noticed there extreme metal tendencies, infact i find it hard to believe they play the music they do :)

  7. Kerrang! had an advert last week on page 41 saying " The band you thought you'd never see live again! "

going on to say coming soon watch Kerrang! TV wednesday October 27 for details.

No mention of Motley Crue but it was the Theatre of Pain mask logo and picture of the band from behind live.

So it's safe to say all systems go..............

  8. Slipknot consist of 9 Band members and that is the way they like it, If one does more or less than another member doesn't change the fact he's in the band.

What we see is the public face of the band not what goes on in the background, i presume they all bring something to the group or they wouldn't be there.

Bez from The Happy Mondays what did he actually do in the band apart from Dance and shake the Morracca's ( sorry for the spelling ), but if he wasn't there he'd be missed.

  9. As good as all the bands were i would say the night belonged to Slayer, they were absolutely amazing, from start to finish i just thought they were untouchable.

Slipknot were excellant too, they put on a great show, i just wished they actually played the intro song to the new album instead of using the recording. I do think the sit down during spit it out is getting a bit tired now thou, they should come up with something fresh.

Mastodon were superb, it was just a shame they had such a short stage time, the sight of the guitars being raised during March of the Fire Ants was a highlight for me its just such a groovey song.

As for Hatebreed i did enjoy them but like a few other comments made earlier i did think all the songs sounded the same, one things for sure they do know how to get a crowd moving. Just imagine what it would be like to see them play somewhere like the Garage, now that would be worth seeing.

All in all a flippin' excellant bill and fuckin' amazing concert.

  10. minus were never thrash metal.

they were however' date=' one of the finest bands i've ever seen play in aberdeen. they kicked ass at lava with charger.[/quote']

I didn't enjoy them at the Lava gig, but i will say this about them for all there heavy sounds they produced you could see the Rock 'n' Roll band screaming to get out.

They reminded me at the time of the SPACE AGE PLAYBOYS era Warrior Soul ie Punky Rock n' Roll.
