  1. Yes, confirmed for 5th October.
  2. Pending a confirmation meeting between myself and Rob, I've pencilled it in for Sunday, October 5th. We'll have a few different items of equiptment in the playschool area this time, and a couple of different stalls. Looking forward to it already!
  3. Altness (if by that you mean Alternative) may or may not be next to godliness, but it is EXACTLY what we provide. An alternative music scene. Until this thread went up, all I ever heard about neds in Moshulu was complaints. All of a sudden everyone's found a nice politcal debate, whereas before everyone was quick to condem the very people we are trying to filter from the crowds. The neds who cause trouble. Shall we just let them all in, drugs, fighting and nedness in all it's glory and leave it at that then?
  4. Baseball caps in general fit in perfectly well with our social scene, I'd use Fred Durst as an example for want of a better on. Oh my god. How does a simple thread turn into a political mess?
  5. Wedding and formal wear will certainly not be refused. It's basically a common sense dresscode. Dont take the piss and we wont.
  6. Clare has agreed to hand paint duplicates of all the pictures for 25 a go. She can also manage some requests, ie, the one with the mohawk was done for me :]
  7. I think you'll find that that's exactly what the bouncers jobs are. To wander around the club, unless I've mis-read their job descriptions and they should be serving in the bar or cloakroom? Hey, I hate wearing shirts and dress shoes too, but that's exactly the reason for refusal I've come across too many times to count in the past. We're not fucking nazis. And I'm sure if they're your friends Johnny, then they'll be fine. It's just that the ONLY trouble I've had as of late has always been acompanied by that kind of clothing. And quite frankly, I've done too much work on the club recently to have graffitti written in ned slang all over the place and people so thick they think they're hard enough to take on a bouncer thrice their size. Common sense really.
  8. A shamless plug but true nontheless
  9. It's nice to see that the true regulars realise the difference between nights, and the difficulties in finding new ideas for the important nights of the week ie Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can be sure that the poeple who complain about the nights would still have something to say if there was nothing happening on a Saturday.
  10. Tuesdays in HJB are the Knights of Trinity. The evening is spicifically targetted at role playing (and no, not the bedroom kind) but is certainly not exclusive. It's really the chillout night of the week, when everyon'es recovering from the hefty weekend.
  11. I wonder if Mr De-Lux is bitter because of the recent crack down on underagers?
  12. This is exactly why, since Rob and I have been here, we've canned everything that ain't rock. I like the fact that folk can come in any night we're open and have some idea of what to be able to expect, but having a variety at the same time. We are being careful, however, to make sure each night has it's own identity and music policy. There are threads posted for each night for those in any doubt as to what these identities are. The idea that we expect Saturdays to run off other nights business is bollocks. 2 of the 4 regular nights in the club are run by external promoters and as such are not really governed by us. We merely put this into consideration when putting on our own gigs. I expect Saturday nights to benefit more than any of the others when the stage goes up and the bands start coming in. Perhaps Stuart Maxwell would like to share some of his own suggestions in the relevant thread as to what's being done wrong in his point of view in regards to Air Guitar?
  13. The only trouble I ever see in the club is caused by people in such a "social uniform". Several neds tried to get the better of just one doorman in the back room last week and you're always sure to see a burberry cap or jacket in the vicinity when you get a lung full of dope smoke.
  14. To the right into the corner. Booby trap suggestions for Ross now beig taken
  15. :rolleyes:We're still very happy with Air Guitar. Open your ears and you'll see that it's a completely different music policy to every other night. And why on earth would I keep a NIGHTCLUB closed on a Saturday night? If you've been to Moshulu or a lot of other venues in the past three weeks you'd realise that everyone loses business with the absense of students. No-one expects you to go to Moshulu every night of the week, especially since you seem to enjoy it so much.
  16. Much like Liquid refuse entry to those wearing trainers?
  17. Having given much consideration to the market we aim to provide for, Rob and I have decided to implement a general dress code for the club. We now regret to inform that all Burbury (sp?) and tracksuit pants are considered inappropriate for Moshulu. These items are not exclusive, and any similar "trends" will unfortunately not be permitted inside. Feel free to comment.
  18. After the highly successful debut of Aberdeens best fetish party, we've decided to go bi-monthly with this one. A strict dress code applies and the night aims to provide a comfortable environment for like minded people to socialise. Stalls are set up and Play School in the back room consists of a variety of tools and equiptment for those who truly believe in Pain for Pleasure. The next one hits the scene in October, so look out.
  19. The newest resident night at Moshulu filling the Saturday night void, Air Guitar brings you all the classics of modern Rock's heyday. ACDC, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Poison, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Queen, Guns And Roses, Metallica and Judas Priest all make regular appearances on the bill. Big Daz takes regular requests and the back room varies from the very eclectic to the extreme. Comments and Suggestions?
  20. Bond*age is still going from stregnth to stregnth since it's humble beginings at the nightclub formerly known as the Palace, with brief stints at the cotton club and Escobar. The world famous (niche) Ross Morrison brings and across the board mix of alternative tunes and aural delights. Room 2 is strictly chilled music and always a winner. Comments and Suggestions?
  21. Caged takes mosh, thrash and metal and binds them all into a musical force to be reconed with. The custom made steel cage in the middle of the dancefloor invites you do do your worst, in Scotland's only designated nightclub moshpit. James WBL has recently taken over from Jim Hassan as resident DJ. Don't expect chillout music in here. For a change of pace, head through to the back room where DJ Tez of Junglenation fame spins up a drum and bass themed mix of melodies. Comments and Suggestions?
  22. MUD club every Monday in Moshulu consistently brings you the latest and classic Indie tracks. Jim Hassan has taken over as sole DJ and plays the tunes you know all the words to. Drinks promotions include 1.50 for house sprits, pints of lager, all VS flavours and bottles of Tennants. Comments and suggestions?
