  6. Oopsy it was yesterday I was playing with Dusty...not going to be playing at this one but hope it goes well
  7. I'm keen to help out on that front. I'm hoping to make it to the bassment after my work and pick up some flyers, so should get some handed out on thurs night, possibly even tonight. Rumour has it that there will be something in the papers thursday
  8. How about asking Alan cynic to play if you are still a band short?
  9. Sorry about that Ross!..I was def gonna be there but got distracted and confused by the boss lady phoning me 8o . Did phone Stuart to say I was gonna come down later (once I'd recovered) but he said the meeting was almost over.
  10. If you update the baby karma website before the gig it might be worth adding it to the site. If someone designs a poster(should point out it would have to black and white because the colour copies are a bit pricey for me to afford...being poor student and all ) I can get some copies made at uni, and I'm happy to put them up in the music shops etc
  11. lol OMG hog! You read my mind...u have magic powers my friend
  12. hey stuart, what time is the meeting tonight for the gig? will try to make it along.
  13. Hi, Any chance you could let me know what hours the rehearsal rooms are available? How much would 2hrs cost? cheers, Emma
  14. Yip totally agree with you there! Right on! And Stuart-I'm happy to help out with posters/flyers for the gig as well.
  15. yip can see your point, think the organisers are doing a good job tho because its quite an ambitious gig to pull off. I could be wrong on this but I think the emphasis is more on the Band Aid charity now because I'm not totally sure if Tsumani appeal is still accepting donations. <warning take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I know nothing..well very little, and the rest I make up as I go along >
  16. Its cool that quite a few folks have said they are planning on going...any word on how things are looking for the gig? I'm hoping it goes ahead because it should be fun one, and for a very good cause
  17. I hope element106 play, that would rock
  18. So which lovely Aberdonians will be attending this gig? Just me being nosey
  19. Hi, we need a bassist asap for band with gigs lined up. Anyone interested should PM me or email me at babykarma1999@yahoo.com cheers, Emma
  20. oh yeah Cloud...I was the queen of misery...to some no doubt I still am those were the days..I was a total goth chick. Of course I'm going for the librarian look thesedays...could be beacuse I am one (well technically just a library assistant but hell you gotta have ambition in this life
  21. I could make the effort if that is what rocks ur boat Philip I assume u mean the pic from my goth days? U look a bit goth urself in this pic. I'm not really a goth thesedays tho but like I say each to their own http://www.hare-krishna.org/showprofile.php?Cat=&User=philip&Board=HareKrishnaNews&what=ubbthreads&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o= (assuming that is you?)
  22. To start off I wasn't given a reason at all so I phoned the woman that booked me who was very nice, and had no idea why the money was taken off. It was the duty manager that took the money off and so I waited to hear what he had to say, and his original story is I took too long a break ...the next day it then changed to I only played for an hr (which isn't true for I played longer than my hour and a half by 10 mins). Pretty sure the guy took the money off cos he didn't like my music (I don't care if folks hate what I do but I still have to be paid the amount agreed). I was told the decision was taken before I had my break that money was to be deducted if I took too long but no-one informed me of this until afterwards. When I was booked I was told it was pretty flexible...I just had to play 2x 45 min sets between 5.30-8.30 or even between 6-9 if I preferred. It's just not professional to deduct cash without explaining why before you do it..if I hadn't asked I wouldn't have been told a reason.
  23. Just so folks are aware I've had a bad experience at o'donoghues where they paid me less money than agreed so anyone playing there should make sure they have contract, otherwise they can't be sure they will be paid in full.
