  1. Those question things on Facebook are pissing me off. There is a girl I went to school with who seems to spend all day on Facebook answering every single question EVER ASKED. A few of the important questions she has answered today include:

    "What colour are your eyes?"

"What kind of phone do you have?"

"What is your favourite flavour of haribo?"

"Which vowels does your name contain?"

Its like she thinks that it is compulsory to anwser them. No question shall go unanswered. Also who is it that is coming up with the questions? Whoever it is can fuck off too.

  2. I just bought one of these

Its a late 70's Peavey T-40. It looks like a cross between a Fender Precision and a Gibson Ripper, which are my two favourite basses so thats probably why I like it. It needs a good set up and some new strings, but apart from that I'm pretty pleased with it.

  3. Can it be reversed at all? 'Cos chances are you'll probably hear it again otherwise.

Having my ears re-stuffed with wax is probably the same feeling as my ears hearing The Roller. At least my tinnitus had an original melody.

  4. A peavey Predator electric guitar when I was 10. Really nice American made Strat copy. I remember I tried to "age" it with a screwdriver after seeing a picture of Stevie Ray Vaughan and his guitar. Sold it a couple of years later to fund another guitar. Always regretted it.

A couple of years ago I got an Ebay account and did a search to see if I could find one similar. One came up on the first search that was the same colour. Put a bid on it and won the auction. When it arrived I noticed it had the EXACT same scratches I had made as a 10 year old some 11 years earlier, so I was reunited with my first guitar!

Its still just as nice as I remembered and the previous owner replaced the single coil at the bridge with a humbucker, which I actually prefer. I'm chuffed to bits to have it back!

  5. If the pump says 20 quid then that's what you should be paying.

The pump will say 20 when I leave it to go and pay. Once I get to the till I am asked for 20.01. When I question this they have just said "thats what the machine says". Once I get back to the pump it does indeed say 20.01. It does not happen everytime, but it seems to mainly be when I use the Shell station near the Haudigain roundabout.

  6. Guitars

Fender Telecaster Deluxe (ideally an original 70's one)

    Gibson Grabber bass

    Gibson SG of some kind

    Fender Jazzmaster

    Gibson L6S

    Gibson 335S

    Amps

    Marshall JCM 800

    Roland Jazz Chorus

    Fender Deluxe 85

    Ampeg SVT 2

    Effects

    Marshall Drivemaster

    EH Memory Man

    EH Pog

Probably loads more stuff I've forgotten.

  7. A thing I like about bands stating influences is it has introduced me to bands I might not of necessarily discovered otherwise. For example, if I like a band and see that they are influenced by a band that I have not heard before I would be inclined to check that band out. I discovered Red House Painters this way after seeing them listed as an influence on Aereogramme's myspace page. I doubt I would of ever heard of them otherwise and they are now one of my favourite bands.
