Second Hand Marching Band were great outside 1UP today but nothing short of wonderful down UTG......Come along to Drummonds to night for a great great night
-
One of the gigs of the week on Jockrock
quite right to, its also going to be eclectic & different
any Beruit or A Hawk & a Hacksaw fans out their.....
-
Really glad everybody enjoyed themsleves. Only really saw Joan Of Arc who surpassed my expectations by a good stretch. Was really bowled over by the response we (Min DIesel) got too.
Dont really want to go into the ins and outs of it as it was a really good gig, well attended and great fun to be part of. Defintely ambitious for Dave and myself to do ourselves but you live and learn.
really sorry not to make this Its very heartening to see you guys taking the plunge with an ambitious promotional line up. its very refreshing to read the honesty of two posters above about offering to pay afterwards.
give me a bell if you want to co-host something interesting down the line...

Will be using my new old phono-fiddle
is that the folk version of electronic laptoppers doing email.....8-)

Yeah, thanks for these, but I'm thinking more in the league of specific beers that TMB buy in, rather than fairly common brands (budweiser, heineken etc)
Ask Flash about this although I believe he sticks sturgeons swin bladders & dried blood
to add flavour (JOKING)
-
maybe this will help beer & wine, not sure how up-to-date
-
My better half did a review of the gig as well up on Beardrock - tUnE-yArDs | Beard Rock
thanks you & Polly for putting this up, i'm sure Merrill will enjoy reading the two reviews
when she gets a wee break very soon.

When city garden is built one of the suggestions was to put a glass pyramand on top of it.
there is a problem with that theory, in that for numerous reasons the city garden will never happen....
-
as offramp said thanks for the great comments, personally I thought Tune Yards were magical & third time lucky to get the band to Aberdeen & well worth the wait. Maybe one day they will return but bigger cities await Merrill & co. If they do come back they loved Tunnels & the Aberdonian hospitality.
Thanks to all who made it a night to remember & special mention for Foxhunting to continue to
improve, entertain & go for it..
-
Something fairly close to this
Foxhunting 8.30pm
Thousands 9.15pm
TuneYards just after 10pm
get excited
-
we keep trying to bring something special & different to the Aberdeen music scene, here's
a review of Tune-Yards sold-out London Scala date on Wednesday
tUnE-yArDs @ Scala, London | live music reviews | musicOMH
I dare say a few more quality reviews will flow out before we stop plugging this on Tuesday
we are very excited by this live show..
-
think i'll have to forgive the Evening Express because Tune-Yards has just been given an amazing preview on the centre two pages today. I could go-on but just check out the preview. Also LIVE on 6music Marc Riley tonight.. Tune Yards & Thousands also played a sold out London Scala last night & if thats not enough Tune Yards is supporting Beruit The Brixton Academy in Sept.
-
thats another batch of our unique diy tickets gone into 1UP yesterday.....
thanks for buying the tickets in great numbers
Check out Tune-Yards this Thursday LIVE on 6music Marc Riley

I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed Ducktails. Thanks IMP!
thanks for all the kind remarks, twas a difficult gig to get right for everyone's needs an instore in Glasgow & a late arrival meant our American visitors apart from Big Troubles didn't sound check. Ducktails would certainly bring his other band to the Tunnels sometime as he said it was a sweet sound & he enjoyed his set a lot.
-
If first on is 20:15, I'd imagine you'd see quite a bit more than 5 minutes of our set!
correct, you will see most there set.
get excited by this gig tonight, lots are..
-
What time will the gig finish at likely? I've got an 11.35pm bus to make since stagecoach are cocks and don't do late night buses out my way at the weekend.
I think you will see most of CH set as we will make change over quite sharp....
-
Saw tUnE-yArDs on Saturday. I didn't think it was possible to be even more excited for this gig, but that made me.
aaaaahhhh Primavera Festival you very lucky person, its funny that three artists we putting
on in the next two weeks playing this festival, tUnE-yArDs, Julian Lynch & Ducktails.....
I keep tell everyone these two gigs are goping to be special & tUnE-yArDs is going to be
very very special. their date with Thousands @ The Scala in London has sold out already
& the tickets flying in the last couple of days up here. Less than ten left in 1UP
thanks for your heads-up confirming the live sensation this will be
-
Darn. Will be away for this. Arborea are really wonderful.

Its massively pleasing that people have supported this show & bought their tickets via 1UP
who need all our support.
you will not be disappointed..............
-

Please note that this gig will not be finishing at 10.30pm as IMP have The Tunnels for the evening, so the sets will be longer than expected.
Doors still 7.30pm
1st on 8.15pm sharp

Alex Kapranos produced RM Hubbert's forthcoming record, or so BBC 6Music says.
Sounds like it'll be a good gig, but I may be holidaying in the south of France then.
South of France is rather lovely, whereabouts?
Moving to Australia

Hey Joseph, on behalf of all @ IMP very best of luck, we will be sad not to see your music career develop further, keep playing & doing what YOU believe in. Hopefully one day b4 we retire you will play again for IMP just like the awesome sets like you did with Withered Hand, Tune-Yards & UTG in June
