  1. This year?

    The good:

Stable employment with moronic amounts of overtime at a whim. 14-hour shifts? Why not?

A smashing lady without the usual irritating traits,

    Animating. Lots of it,

    Bought my own place,

    Clearing debt, gradually,

    Got a cunting haircut,

The realisation that pot does indeed make you as thick as Paris Hilton,

    A smashing myriad of friends.

    The bad:

Lack of sleep/social life due to aforementioned moronic overtime,

    Left University,

Haven't kept in touch with alot of folks,

Having to tell my own parents to stop bitching about eachother and to get a bloody divorce already.

    Good stuff.

  2. Ever considered that you're wrong? Some it is said have cast doubt on whether early man ate meat.

To start' date=' I don't care who's a vegan/vegetarian. That's entirely up to yourself. But it's wrong that Humans are omnivores?

[i']"Radiocarbon dating has confirmed that three wooden spears found in a coal mine in Schningen, near Hannover, Germany, are the oldest complete hunting weapons ever found. Some 380,000 to 400,000 years old, the six- to 7.5-foot javelins were found in soil whose acids had been neutralized by a high concentration of chalk near the coal pit. They suggest that early man was able to hunt, and was not just a scavenger. The development of such weapons may have been crucial to the settling of Stone Age northern Europe, whose cold climate and short daylight hours limited hunting."

There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of examples of early mankind hunting.

Hell, even ivu.org agrees; http://www.ivu.org/history/early/ancestors.html (A vegetarian website).

Even higher primates are known as "opportunist carnivores", i.e., they eat mainly fruits and vegetables but will take eggs, insects, lizards and other small creatures if easily available or when very hungry. Oh no, monkeys are evil! Anarchy!

Like Tristen said, denying the fact that Humans are omnivores is as stupid as denying the existence of gravity. It's almost as stupid as doubting mankind's superiority over other animals.

I also like how the vegan website consistantly notes things like "Independant studies", "Research has shown", and "confirmed by scientific studies". Very vague and amusing.

  3. (Eddie opens the front door)

Eddie: Charming evening your ma-a-a-a-am. Give us your coat!

    Woman: What're you doing?

Eddie: I'm just taking your coat.

Woman: Well I don't want you to take my coat.

Eddie: Listen buster! I'm under strict instructions to not let anyone in with their coats on.

(A struggle ensues, with many punches!)

Eddie: Look, do you wanna come in or not?

Woman: No I don't. I'm collecting for the needy. THIS is for victims of domestic violence!

    (Eddie takes the charity tin)

    Eddie: Ta very much.

(Knocks her down the stairs with a mallet)

    Genius.

  4. I'm able to run it on;

    AMD Athlon XP 2400,

    NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200

    512 DDR.

It runs fine. The graphics aren't as good on this setup. The Source Engine is quite nifty with respects to older machines, however.

Although I think it'll be worth upgrading just for the increased graphics quality, having played Half-Life 2 on a high-end system. :gringo:
