  1. TAKEN FROM AVERSION.COM

"The singer for the Swedish punk act Nasum is missing following the tsunami in Southeast Asia.

The band announced that singer Mieszko Talarczyk and his girlfriend were vacationing in Thailand when the tsunami hit. Talarczyk was staying in a bungalow on Phi Phi Island with his girlfriend that was swept away when the wave hit. His girlfriend was hospitalized, though no sign has been made of the singer.

Talarczyk is among more than 20,000 victims of the wave."

  2. i am very much so a fan. i prefered "i am an elastic fire cracker" though.

their debut "bill" is also cool. as a note of interest for people, the polyphonic spree is fronted by the tripping daisy's front man, it's all good...

  3. Fugazi might not sell T-shirts, but it takes a page from Pearl Jam

and The Pixies' book by releasing a slew of live appearances.

Dischord Records announced it will make 20 live performances

by the band available for purchase. Dating back to the band's

first show in 1987 to a 1999 show. True to its low-pricing

scheme, the albums, dubbed the Fugazi Live Series, will be

    priced $8 for a single-disc set and $10 for a double-disc show.

Fugazi makes no bones about the recording quality of its shows.

Its earliest shows were put to tape, then it graduated to DAT.

"These are very much the original recordings without any attempt

to correct for things like volume changes, strange mixing effects,

or the occasionally out-of-tune guitar" the band explained on FugaziLiveSeries.com.

"Though the sound quality on these tapes does vary, if a show

was too poorly recorded it didn't make the cut."

  4. I recon it comes down to finding the right people.

Weve tried out people on keyboards and they just didn't work

    on a personal level.

At the mo we're recording the extra stuff ourselves

and then playing over it. We're also trying to get hold of

a drum module so we can trigger samples and the likes.

Its not all down to not experimenting, its not being able

    To find the right people

Drakes tomorrow night with the real shocks and plan a

For a taster for those interested.
