-

-
yeah, those bootlegs appeared pretty quick
-

that one amuses and riles in equal measure

i missed the chance to see them at atp but i heard they resoundingly sucked there too
they are media darlings though...
-
who were the support?
-
greatest aberdeen band:
-
all albini
more interesting but less immediate than the last record
-
the pixies are supporting rhcp at other dates
sadly not murrayfield
-
i've got the whole record on slsk if anyone wants it
username: qzdiablo
it's in wma format though
i will listen to it this evening i think
-
bump 'cos i'm taking my little bro to see this
and i'm hoping for a good support act
-
mclusky have always been great with song/album titles
it's a pleasure to see this record fails to break that trend
-
is about 8 pages long and isn't getting typed out in full
-
you don't have to be special to get a mixtape
you just need to own a tapedeck

1. Mogwai-R U Still In 2 It?
2. The Walkmen-Hang On Siobahn
3. Franz Ferdinand-Auf Asche
4. Arab Strap-The Shy Retirer(Disco Hospital Mix)
5. Morrissey-I Am Hated For Loving
that's an awfully subdued opener
w/ a mixtape, you need a track that'll instantly grab the attention of the listener
"r u still into it?" is awesome, but it isn't very immediate
judging from what materials i know you have to work with, i'd stick the walkmen's "the rat" or gwai's "hunted by a freak" on first
edit: fuck, looking at yr listening to section, throw in something off of the middle third of echoes, surely!
that'll grab her by the throat and hurl her around the room
-
i thought you were part of the mixtape trade thing
-
that new beta band single is quality
-
yeah, his relatives were farmers apparantly and they kept cattle
and to differentiate them from other farm's cattle, instead of branding them, they sprayed them with a little paint
they were blue sprayed coo's

no one likes the vines
no one ever liked the vines
it's just a big scam, concocted by the government in order to distract us from the horrible, horrible fate that will befall everyone who walks this earth
-
i liked their first record
and the neptunes have produced some of the best hip-hop tracks in the past 5 years
but "fly or die" is gash
-
recently
the ponys - virus human
lali puna - left-handed
the walkmen - the rat
gogogo airheart - meet me at the movies
liars - there's always room on the broom
-
i could never get into the cocteau twins
-
is this the same one as liars and wire?
cos that gig looks awesome
Worst Guitar solos you've heard

i kinda think that's the point
it reflects the lyrics of the song, about feeling all awkward and uncomfortable
the solo in pavement's "infinite spark" is also a bit like this, it's ham-fisted screechings reflecting the lyrics about "man bleeding forever"
