A related tale: The other day I was in HMV and they were playing Never Mind the Bollocks' date=' I supoose as it was in some kind of offer and they were trying to flog it. When it got to 'Bodies', the (presumably) unaware shop assistants let it play until the 'fuck this and fuck that, fuck it all and fuck that fucking brat' section, immediately after which it was hurriedly turned off by the surprised staff and a great many dull people looked horrified.
Very, very humourous and a reassuring sign that the Pistols can still shock.[/quote']
a similar incident happened when they played metallica's "the unamed feeling"(??) a couple of months ago
a big, blatant sweary part was immediately followed by dead air
i laughed

I'd have never really thought so either until my copy had an "Electronic" sticker on it and they stack it under "Electronic" in Virgin on Oxford Street. I guess it doesn't really matter' date=' more stuff gets lumped in as Electronic than it does Emo. Tut tut.[/quote']
that's probably 'cos their lp was put out by warp over here
and hmv were too lazy to listen to it

I just checked that out' date=' some of it's alright but it's a bit sonically bland and neutral. I think a lot of "electronica" like this suffers from the tv advert soundtrack/elevator music syndrome.[/quote']
you suffer from tv-advert-soundtrack/elevator-music-syndrome

ulrich schnauss - far away trains passing by
i like "a strangely isolated place"
i also enjoyed the new lali puna record, if you'd count that as electronica

-
it just so happens i have the lemon tree brochure in front of me
and it says...
5 (3.25 concessions and regulars)
that works out at 1 or 65p per act

Pinholes in blankets dust balls attached to the sky

justice mill lane could maybe considered to be a "scary part of town"
langstane place and the surrounding bon-accord and dee street areas are generally full of trendy types and middle-aged business people at night

lcd soundsystem are pretty danceable
i was there, when they played all tomorrow's parties earlier this year, their equipment kept breaking down but they still got a good reception
-
i don't know much about the red hot chilli peppers, but from last night's big-screen evidence, john frusciante really needs to control his face when playing solos
