  1. Into exile??! Ahem... OUT OF EXILE! Oh well, at least you listen to it, even if you don't read the cover :D

"Like Disco..." is rubbish. The songs are great (especially 'Blind' - I wish we got to play that more often, or could record a great brilliant new version of it with proper backing vox etc.) but the production and performance don't really realise our full potential. Out of Exile is much better. But the best one will be the next one ;)

How dare you!! Do you want a go if you think you're hard enough?!! Bring it on! ;) I'm obviously the hardest member of the band by a clear country mile!!!

Actually, no, you're probably right. Although, I've never been angry enough to actually want to hurt somebody. And I'm deceptively nimble, you'd have a job trying to hit me if I knew you were coming. Actually, no joke, I reckon I'd be able to take Rass in a fight. (Sorry Rass but I reckon it's true!)

I might actually be tempted to take out most of my band-mates if they continue their trend of never visiting me ever cos I live an entire 15 minutes away from them on foot....

    Cunts.

  4. Hmm..... thanks for the constructive suggestion, but a few years ago I formulated a theory that most people with moustaches are crap, whereas there are a lot of cool people with beards. Obviously this rule has exceptions, and I suppose were I to grow a moustache then I could be one of them...

And I can see what you're saying, there are a lot of classic rock moustaches. Hmm...

However, I think my girlfriend might have something to say about it. Something bad. And I just remembered how much I hate Freddie Mercury. So I'm afraid the answer is no! Sorry.

What a big-head! Not only the first to grab all the song writing credits, and writing all the parts for every different instrument, and singing better vocals than I could ever dream of, you just have to remind everyone that you're an incredible classical guitarist to boot...

    ...fair enough! ;)

Yeh, man, cos, like, you're obviously such a goddam rebel who sticks 2 fingers up at the system, man. Like, yeh. And like, I bet even if someone were to like, offer you a record deal (which, let's face it, isn't particularly likely), you'd be too cool to actually sign it. Cos that would be like, selling out to the corporate machine...

  7. Also, when you define 'Whagina' as meaning a 'whag of vagina' you also miss the point that 'whag' is no more a real word than boatt. i.e. not real at all!

Why did you drop out of your English degree again? ;)

  8. "Char... Char... oh, I'm trying... CHAR... RUBBISH!" Damn, sorry, just can't do it. By the way, I maintain that none of those are real words. And neither is 'Reburbled' so don't start!

Note to all: Never play Scrabble with Len. That's where this rubbish started.

Black McSabbath were cooll, didn't really know many of the songs but the ones I did I enjoyed. I think it was Rass that pointed out that they were better at the Ozzy songs which is prob. true...the guy certainly had the Ozzy act down to a tee...overall damn fine gig.

I thought they were shit actually. Pure unadulterated shit.

Somewhere in Time is my favourite album too, so your opinion counts double!

I still can't decide where this album fits in with the rest of them. You can't really evaluate an album until it's stood the test of time... get back to me in 6 months and I'll tell you then.

But wow, Gates of Tomorrow! Beasting pre-chorus then chorus! It's a killer combo!

  11. OK, last night it all suddenly slotted into place and I realised how ace this record actually is! Gates of Tomorrow is brilliant. In fact, most of the album is, although I'm nae awfy keen on Montsegur. But the whole second half of the album is brilliant! And No More Lies too! And how fucking Heavy is Age Of Innocence!?

Although the synths are too loud all the way through for a prog cynic like myself ;)

There are actualy 4 or 5 Dave solos but for some reason they don't stick in the mind like Adrians ones which are brilliant.

Ooh, I'm just listening to Face in the Sand and the hairs on my skin just did that standing on end thing in the chorus...

    mmm....

    :]

HOORAY! I love new Iron Maiden albums!
