Yes, I've seen As Always on Scuzz. Quite the tune! I got an email from them ages ago (God knows how they got my address) with the dates for the tour. I'll be at this gig.
But what's happened to Flight 19, eh?

Black Atom - The Last Day
Argh, I bloody hate that song!
I love 'The Man Who Tried to Sell Your House' by 10 Easy Wishes
'Summer Rain' by Contra
'No Direction' by The Upstarts

Interesting. I'm looking forward to this even more now.

Promoters with SAS skills in avoidance... I got in about 10 mintues before they played and the place was virtually empty.
They were really good, with catchy songs and enjoyable to watch. I would have bought their EP if I had more than 1.60 left...
But to piss over Jesse James and Whitmore, that's not exactly hard to do!

Teh Fenix TX like?

Uh oh. See, I'm at the Fudgenight, my bro plays at 9.45 so hopefully I'll get along to Drummonds. It better be free!

So we decided to yell at it in the most manly voices we could put on (even though we're women), hoping it would run away. Well instead, it started running towards us...it sounded so huge cause of the thumps on the ground it was making. So we shined the flashlight at it, and shit our pants cause it was a fucking sasquatch. We ran into my house as fast as possible...locked the door and like, cried.
"Sasquatch we know your legend's real" ...and we hate it
...true story
o_O In Scotland?
Or Canada/ North America?

Exactly. I was so looking forward to seeing them again but I was pretty annoyed that they didn't play very long.
As much as I love The Gloria Flaw, they could/ should have had a shorter set. I don't know how long Screaming Nebraska played for but touring bands should be more of a priority. It's not every month you get to see Firstborn...
Also, having 5 bands play from 7ish to 10 is not the best idea.

That video formula is getting real boring...
My favourites at the moment are;
The Streets - Fit But You Know It (nicely done, especially the chip shop scene)
JC Chasez - All Day Long I dream About Sex (retro, baby!)
Zebrahead - Rescue Me (ace live footage from the House of Blues with faces in the crowd I knoooooow!)
O-Zone - Mai Ah Hii (funniest video ever?)

Has this curfew ever been achieved, eh? Firstborn didn't get long enough, I was really disappointed.
I missed Screaming Nebraska last night, but saw their debut gig and although the music's not my cup of tea, it was an excellent set.

Mmmmm, Seth He MAKES The O.C!
Who heard Get Me Outta Here and Radio Song by Jet in on Sunday's E4 episode??
Maroon 5... I'm loving them right now. The album is so good, ace to study along to. Sunday Morning and Harder To Breathe are super duper.
JC Chasez' album is a corker too. Something Special is the cutest song ever. And his new single All Day Long I Dream About Sex is is a coolio sing and dance along to song.

Wow, this is so cool! Ladyboys on guitar is the way forward.

I walked past the Lemon Tree the last time InMe played... and my gosh, what a lot of black lipstick, eyeliner and clothes. Clones.

Norman's Fetish, The 44's & Howard's Alias

OK, I can't find another thread about last nights gig and I just wanted to say a few words.
I'm sure I've been to all Norman's Fetish gig so far, and last night was the most impressive. From start to finish I was bopping my head along with the rest of the crowd. Christina and Rachael's voices came across brilliantly and the other girls were great too.
A big thumbs up for that! I'm looking forward to seeing them again with Misled Youth and The Supatones this Wednesday the 23rd at Drakes. Doors 7.30, 4.
Now, The 44's... do these guys do bad shows? No. Every time they are awesome and almost always blow away the headliners. They should be huge already!
I didn't know what to expect from Howard's Alias after reading a few mixed reviews. But, oh my, they were super duper! They put on one hell of a show, and the singer's voice was bloody good. I bought myself their new album which is rather good. I'll be looking forward to seeing them again.
Overall, a fine gig.
