if I were to take drum sticks to Moshulu tomorrow night, as part of my Meg White get-up, would they be considered dangerous type things that could be used as a weapon? (not that I'm going to be violent, but i thought i should check)

Can we expect the usual mish mash of cross dressing, crazy dance routines and scary tunes from Ross? Are you going to discount entry for those who dress up?
I'm excited!
i think you should get into moshulu free if you're dressed as a musical persona or something, and discounted if you're a monster or somehthing else everyone HAS to dress up!

does that mean it's going to be on a monday too?
dunno about the rest of the people but i'd prefer to go to an alternative club than a crappy, naming-no-names (coughPRIORYcough) type club that has one night where they play the darkness and call themselves alternative.

not sure how it works for clubs.....................i'm sure i was on at the Lemon Tree once when it was Lifestyle and the clocks were going forward so the night was cut short.........
but i'm not sure if there's an official rule on it in general at all
....an extra hour would be ace tho
Spring forward, Fall behind. thats how i remember it. They out the clocks back at 2am, so that means you'll get an extra hour.

it is pretty groovy, and the booths are great, but you need a bunch of friends otherwise it's just you and a mate sitting in a booth getting evil looks from all the other people who have nowhere to sit

there was a flyer for air guiter a while ago, black with white outlines of people in various guitar positions. Where did you get those people from, would i be breaking some kind or law if i made a t shirt with it on it?

Well, now that i've got freshers week over and done with, i can now concentrate on HALLOWEEN
i was thinking a three day event spanning from Thursday night's Caged to Saturday nights Air Guitar, since halloween is on a Friday.
All fancy dress of course, with a 'best costume' winner from each of the nights and then the final on Saturday. With the winner going away with a sooperdooper prize i have yet to think up.
It's all still in the early stages, it's only just turned October!!
Sarah
yay! can you make that that if you'r not dressed up, then you can't get in? If you don't then hardly anyone will, they always spoil it

Originally posted by stripeyIf you like teh Arches, then you will probably enjoy Drum on windmill brae, or Subway, possibly Kef if they have a decent act in (if you can stand all the students and posers).
What's Drum like? Some guy at my work got punched there the other week, so my first impression wasn't a good one. Is that the door beside HJBs?

Well, well, well.
Summer's over boys and girls, and to keep away te onset of wintertime blues, MUD & Moshulu put our heads together and are proud to bring you 1 per drink.
That's right sports fans, 1 for house spirits (mixer not included), bottles of VS and Tennants, Pints of lager and, of course, Apple Sourz.
god bless you squire!
ooh, do you get other flavours of Sourz? if so, any chance of getting some (not for 1 nessesarrily (sp?) ) but would be a nice change

Re: Nights out
Originally posted by HornedGothI love Fridays too. The only thing that pissed me off about Fridays is that they are too populaar and q's for the bar are huge.
even more annoying when all you want is water. Considering its free anyway, couldn't you put water cooler or something. One week my boyfriend was waiting for 30 mins for a pint of water, which was promptly spilled by the heaving crowd

my dad has an ancient bass like that, really hate the colours personally. I want the purpley sparkley one i saw in RnB a few months ago

Re: Re: Re: Where is Moshlulu!?!?!
Originally posted by *catherine*or if coming from kef ect walk past HMV and take a first left, cross the road and turn right, go down the hilly insteed of up to liquid and the pool hall, then go up the step hill and you'll find HJB's then Moshulu
there is another way if you go down the steps beside kef, and turn left, then walk along that road til you find steps, go across the road by going up the steps and through the car park, then when you come out the pther side you'll be at the bottom of windmill brae.

thats the scary way, not recommended late at night, or when you're alone...or both

reward is having the feeling of helping someone:dunce:
windmill brae is off the top of Crown Street. Go to the music hall on union street and cross over the road. Walk two streets towards the castlegate end and you'll find Crown Street.
Alternatively find people who know and tag along. thats what i did last year when I first went

I think Rob should open up Moshulu during the day/evening and hire a stripper/ex stripper to give ladies some pole dancing lessons. it's so much fun, but i want to learn how to do it properly, and pole dancing is the new yoga so i'm sure loads of people would be interested. i know my mum would go.
anyone else agree?
yeah, sounds cool, but you'd want a pole dancer, not a stripper. they're completely different y'know
but i'd like to try it, am too scared to try it when I'm at moshulu, too many people watching and me with no experience
-
i want to start learning and don't want to spend a bomb on something I may not use all the time. whats a reasonable amount and where can I get one?
