  1. Your first point - you've misunderstood me. I was describing the basis on which someone is free to offer a service - whether or not that person has the ability/ integrity/sincerity etc is a separate issue - the judgement call you make when you weigh up whether or not to employ that person services.

Your second point - fair enough, that's your call. For me it depends very much on the service I'm after. I've never asked a hairdresser If they have a qualification, and If so, what. Either they cut my hair in a way which I'm happy with, or they don't.

My point is simply that education has been overtaken by money and politics, qualifications in many fields are dumbed down so much, and colleges are keen to push as many students through the hoops as possible, that I tend not to as a my first yardstick of quality. Just my opinion though.

Why are you defending this utter horse shite?

  2. I'm buying one of these very soon:

    devi-godzilla.jpg

It costs more than I'd like to disclose, but it sounds absolutely fucking tits. The Devi Ever Shoegazer pedal is a little bit more ridiculous, but it doesn't look anywhere near as awesome.

Happy Cat shoot lasers from his eyes, into what looks to be people running from the WTC collapse? That is the most freakin awesome pedal ever!!

  3. Windows bastard XP System fecking Restore.

Recovered my PC (the one with a couple of design jobs on it, plus the one my iPhone is associated with) from a problem. Yaldy thought I, I have fixed it. Nope.

Can't run a repair off the Windows disc because I have a SATA drive running off a RAID controller, and it doesn't recognise anything other than IDE. Tried slip-streaming the drivers into the install disc, only to find the RAID controller driver pack is a self running .exe that you can't get the files out of.

To top it off, it is XP MCE 2005, and I don't have the proper install discs because they don't release them to the unwashed masses.

    Computers are shite.
