But it's through not posting that he hasn't annoyed the piss out of virtually every user on this forum via nonsensical and moronic thread creation, unlike his daughter. Besides, if my dad parked in disabled spaces just because his old dear had a badge, I'd concede that he was a dick too.
ok. my Papa is not my dad. he is my grandfather.
My step gran was his wife.
-
Aside from anything else, frankly a police inspector should set a better example.
my papa is a retired engieneer not a police inspector
-
What a dick!!
my papa aint a dick.
he did have a disabled badge when my step gran was still alive.
but the management let him park there. its never caused any problems

I assume you're talking about lunch on Christmas Day?
I used to work at the Atholl Hotel, it was always packed out, but yes, booked up well in advance and damn expensive, which is fair enough as you have to pay the staff double.
you probably know my Papa then. he has been going to the althol every night for the past god knows how many years... Stewart Murray plays on the golf team or whatever...always parks his car in the disabled spot right outside the door....yet he aint disabled....

well done guys!
tomorrow just got even better!

I am doing a case study for university and am looking for a Promoter who is willing to anwser some questions for me.
I am looking for a company who has been up and running for at least 2 years, but no more than 10. preferable they need to put on gigs about once a month, or at least started out that way.
Hopfully someone can help, send me a message or an email to caz4eva@hotmail.com if you are interest at all.
if not this is one of the gayest reports ive had to do cause we need to find out so much random information that you have to call up some company and try get them to talk to you.
But i know you are all friendly people and will be glad to help 8-)

cause of uni and work im not going to get back to aberdeen this year. it will suck. although halloween in my union is always legendary and falls the thursday before halloween.
i may be working the night itself
but im going as Rainbow brite =]

1. yes we have a spliiage sheet. this is for drinks that are not accounted for.
if we spill something its ok. this is when they've counted the stock, matched it to the til and it doesnt add up
2. if you dont have optics you use a metal messaure pourer thing. its 25ml shots we use. you dont just guess
3. its the only decent place in ayr. there are only 3 night clubs and the other 2 are dance/ned clubs like the ministry/liquid.
-
i feel sorry for my boss in a way though. he gets a stock take every month. and once it was £700 down (cause of this fannt of a superviser i had once) and they tried to make my boss pay for it out of his pocket
furys is a chain so he has bosses breathing down his neck. yet they wont let him install optics in the club to solve the problem
-
yeah. their point was that if they charge us full price then whoever is stealing will feel bad about it and realise its costing them too much
but im just not sure about people actually stealing
my boss was too raging last night to listen though
-
i can see them doing it though
staff come and go every few weeks in my work. thats thje problem
i dont think they take hiring the right people seriously enough
but the problem with club work is it probably wouldnt make a difference to them if they did sack us all
-
right. i work in a bar. have done for a year and a half on and off. but they always seem to have someone stealing or giving drinks away or just being thick
last night i earned 15 from working
i had to give 5 for the tils being down and owe them 14 for stock being down
apparently there were 20 vodkas, 6 JD's. 6 aftershock and some bottles of VK missing
and it came to like 66. and we have to all chip in to pay it into the til
first time they're making us pay. apparently cause they think people are giving away drink so want to try deter them
but im now gona be out of pocket if i pay.
someone else refused to pay and now has been sacked and maybe barred
however my dad told me its theft if they make us pay.
its the only decent club in ayr so i cant afford to be barred. and kinda need the cash as my second job
another thing is. (which they wont listen to me about) we sold 400 vodkas last night... and were 20 down... now that only takes 1.25mls of spillage per shot to add up. surely that is human error? not people giving it away
this is pissing me off more than loosing my phone.
whats annoying more is i think its not even someone stealing this time. its happened before but it doesnt seem obvious this time.
i dont want to have to pay on morals that i aint done noting wrong yet i dont want the sack or to be barred from the only place i ever go
-
yeah. the more i think about gig nights in ayr the more i warm to the idea.
everyone has just said, oh there isnt any gigs in ayr so we go to glasgow
but the problem is lack of venue
the club i work in is the only place that ever puts on gigs apart from some church. but it aint a good venue.
im gona arrange a meeting with my boss and ask him stuff like if i can still hire it for free and what they do abotu PA. cause i know the glasgow furys are really bad with money
-
unique selling proposition. apparently. my lecturer told us we'd get shot if we said point
even though he told us last year it was point
-
i dont mean i fail this week for not having 5 ideas that aint been done before
but ill fail if my final business isnt anything different
one of the main critera is that it has to have a USP
this has been stressing me out sooo much
apparently there is no music scene in ayr. everyone plays glasgow. and ive got no clue about glasgows music scene at all.
-
club night would count
someone from my course a few years back thought up of the idea for a night called Your Sound, it then led on to her being employed by DF concerts and now king tuts run Your Sound on the first sunday of every month
see thing is, everyone and anyone can start up a small label or a promotions company. but its not unique. it needs to have something special about it. or ill fail.
its stressing me out already. i keep coming up with ideas like a gig guide for ayrshire. but it has to be something that id make money from. and i cant see people paying for a gig guide.
-
Why that's exactly the whole jist of the article i was reading.
i was learning abiout it in class the other day
-
set up a company that advances shows for promoters...
i tried sending you a message but have no idea if it sent. my computer went all weird
-
yip. plus an idea isnt copyrightable.... unless you right it all down
-
for only the basic idea and not work input?
ill give you £40 if i make any profit
cause id then have to go off and do weeks or research into it and do all the essays to say why its commerciall viable. do the proposal to industry proffessionals myself
-
if you could start up a project or business to do with the music industries what would it be???
ive got to do a project for uni and we have to have 5 ideas for monday and im struggling so wanted to see what others come up with. ive got a few ideas which i may go with but as ive got to present 5 im stumped.
this has to be something viable because i have actually got to do this and go apply for grants and stuff if i need the cash
it can be anything from starting a record company to setting up a company who does merch for bands.
but it has to have a unique selling proposition
-
so these mums would rather give their kids junk food than healthy???
sorry but the one thing that shocked me about the programme was that kids didnt even know what some fruit and veg where.
i was a fussy kid but my mum still tried to make me eat stuff and i used to have veg with every meal and used to have to ask permission to have any crisps or sweets. and i never had a problem with that. cause i was brought up that way from day 1.
-
yeah i didnt find sundays funny at all. the radio jingle thing was overdone and annoying. not funny.
although i didnt find the first funny much but watching it again with folk i find myself laughing more
but im still watching some of the last ones and laugh the first time round.
except i watched petergiest last night and it was just scarey when your drunk and its dark
-
ive not bought the DVD cause i refused to pay all that money for only half the season!!
why dont they have all 27 epsiodes on it???
