?uestlove Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 this is such a spontaneous post but i feel it's a calling...(kinda)i'm listening to are you in by incubus and decided i love it. i've been drumming with bands for years but only really played metal, so wanna try somethin a little easier on the ears. incubus has been my muse for a while now so jst wonderin if anyone wants to get a mellow band goin?i guess eventually could play some nice mellow gigs. looking for a jazz/blues/ easy going sound...very much like are you in.other stuff like the jimi hendrix experience or some clapton or somethin. hard to describe what i want. but if you like that sorta direction, send us a pm or jst reply here. Also if interested my other band Red Man Walking are looking for a drummer, we mainly play stoner rock, but are writing a number of mellower numbers. PM me if interested, start auditions next week. I am a lead guitarist in the blues sense-ie i play fragmented chords and mess about with solos-very much hendrix inspired(or copied). I'm 18 and have been playing for about 4and a bit years, got a lovely 79 strat-great for this sort of music. So give me a shout if whatever.
