jonty84
Yeah Dire Straits are immense. Money for nothing is one of the best riffs of all time - and that drum intro is seriously good. most of brothers in arms is still amazing - although I agree walk of life sounds well cheesy these days - but hey - cheese is good! but the spoils must surely go to sultans of swing - try listening to that at 4am and you'll discover a whole new side to it.Jonty
Guest DustyDeviada
My dad used to be a bit of a fan of theirs.Personally' date=' their name is very well chosen. Not only are they very 'straight' (I'm not meaning 'not-gay), but they are also, in my opinion, a little bit dire as well.Sorry for offence.[/quote']Thought it wouldn't be long before someone came up with the very obvious "Dire Straits are dire" comment.See also: "I hear Dire Straits are collaborating with Chris Rea - it's going to be called Dire-Rea" and "Dire Straits live... well almost".Badoom-ching!
