(edinburgh) released his debut ep "pylonesque" to worldwide acclaim in the summer of 2002, and soon after set off for a mini tour of Japan, headlining at the 20,000 strong mount fuji festival metamorphose" christ has had regular radio airplay including numerous appearances on the bbc's john peel show. his new "metamorphic reproduction miracle" was released in july 2003, and he performed live at sonar 2003 in barcelona. Benbecula's best selling artist Christ. is no stranger to the live circuit, having recently played Finland, France and of course supported Schneider TM on the British leg of their recent European tour, and later went on to record a live session for the Radio 1 John Peel show (Peel requested and received an encore!). chilli Posted November 1, 2004 Author Report Share Posted November 1, 2004 Line-Up Change Opening ActUnfortunately SCART Thug is rather ill just now & has pulled out of our show on Thursday however I am delighted to say that a replacement of the highest quality has been founddetails as follows:-prof_lofi (USA)He has written for acoustic, electro-acoustic & electronic tape & digital media, incuding several installations that have been performed in Texas & California (field effects 7); additionally his works have been permed by thomas helton, the omboglio string quartet, the austin new music co-op & various ensembles within Texas. He has also had pieces prerfrmed on Resonance FM in London & been released onn Ven Voisey's somewhere/somewhere else, phonography's, field recordings, spectral house, ecolrecords, porkbones records, distillery records & & has work distributed by deadline records & has a new record coming out on elevator bathh records in 2005. As a performer prof-lofi uses an assortment of equipment that range from prepared guitar, to digital cd mixers, laptop, radio & digital analogue synthesizers, as well as found objects & diy circuit bent devises. Regardless of equipment, an attention to sound & prssance is always foremost in his approach to sound art.
