I am a rock drummer in Aberdeen looking for a hard rock band to join. I don't want to start a new band. Just join a group already going. I'm in my 30s and have been drumming about half of that time. You're limiting yourself alot if you're aiming solely at bands who are already on their way but need a drummer. And you're missing out on the best part. Starting a new band is ace, during that period where the ideas are just falling out of the sky, and you write about 5 songs every practice. Best fun. Im also in my 30's (32 today actually) - been playing for a while. Moved up to Aberdeen a few years ago. Our band has been together for a around 4 months - recently our drummer has departed and we are looking for someone to replace him. We are just doing covers at the moment to get started.
