The Ghost Of Fudge
U.K. SUBS (CHARLIES 70TH BIRTHDAY BASH) Incredibly, 2010 marked the fifth decade in which the U.K. Subs had continually graced the Punk Rock scene. Inspired by the Damned at the birth of British Punk, the now equally legendary Charlie Harper formed the Subs out of his then R&B outfit The Marauders, late in 1976. In 1979, they signed to Gem Records via RCA and surprised everyone by becoming one of the most consistently and visibly successful punk bands, with seven consecutive UK Top 30 hits between 1979-81 (Stranglehold, Tomorrows Girls, She's Not There, Warhead, Teenage, Party In Paris and Keep On Running). They also scored two UK top ten albums (Brand New Age and Crash Course), establishing themselves throughout the world with a heavy touring schedule that still continues to this day. https://www.facebook.com/UKSubs support comes from Skizofrenic Live music usually occurs roughly between 9pm-11pm, followed by a rotating monthly clubnight until the 3am curfew. Tonight, it's 'JOKERS WILD' with DJ Jester playing an eclectic range of mighty tunes for you. At The Moorings Bar, 2 Trinity Quay. Tickets still onsale from the bar and skiddle.com - http://skdl.it/PjLORl

The Ghost Of Fudge
The Moorings Bar present: MICKEY 9S Four gorgeous young lads appeared in the hovels of Glasgow's wicked streets. Yay, tis true. From small, miserable dwellings they emerged with but one intention: to hoach the place to smithereens. Armed only with a huge supply of Bass and snippets of a culture lost in the mists of modernity they proceeded to beast the place up, much to the delight of the local inhabitants, who had grown sore in the groin from funk deficiencies. They were friends extraordinaire, a band of brothers in each others' mothers, only too well aware of the potentials of Beat: the rest is silence. And then MICKEY 9 explosion time! And then silence. And then applause for ever and ever, amen. https://www.facebook.com/mickey9s STRANGE SKIES Influenced by early 70's blues rock and modern bands like the White Stripes and the Black Keys. https://www.facebook.com/strangeskies https://twitter.com/strangeskiesuk 10262006_10203009906584039_7918346734505 Live music occurs roughly between 9pm-11pm, followed by a rotating monthly clubnight until the 3am curfew. In this instance, it's 'DISCO INFERNAL' - top name DJ's Flash & Monday will terrorise the dancefloor until 3am with classic rock, motown, disco, rock'n'roll and plenty more aural gems...
